Applied Industrial Technologies Ltd. has promoted Ron Sowinski to president and chief operating officer, effective June 1.
Sowinski will replace Gerry Rein, a 25-year veteran who retires from the company on May 31.
Sowinski previously served as senior vice-president and chief administrative officer of the company.
Headquartered in Saskatoon, Applied is the Canadian-operated subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc. The company is an industrial distributor that offers more than two million parts.
Brett Manlove has been appointed senior VP of broadcast sales and marketing at CanWest MediaWorks Inc., working from Toronto. He brings almost 20 years of experience.
