Axia NetMedia Corp. and AdFarm are partnering to form a Calgary-headquartered agricultural marketing and communications resource firm.
The combined firm, which will unite AdFarm and Axia’s Fieldstone Marketing and Kahntact Marketing agencies, will employ more than 60 communications professionals and have offices in Calgary, Guelph, Kansas City, Mo. and Fargo, N.D.
AdFarm is a privately held, 35-person marketing communications agency with clients in the grain handling and marketing, crop protection, seed, fertilizer, livestock and farm equipment industries.
Founded in 1995, Axia (AXX-TSE) specializes in supplying high-speed networks and hosting environments, and creates and manages e-learning content.
In other Axia news, the company last week signed a $6.5-million deal to develop an online professional development system for the Royal College of Nursing in the United Kingdom.
The application will be developed, implemented and operated it over the next seven years for the 340,000 members of the college, which is the largest professional union of nursing staff in the world.
Known as the RCN Learning Zone, the application brings together learning and information that can be accessed quickly and easily from a PC.
