Bell Canada has reorganized its operations in Western Canada. The company has appointed a single executive to oversee Alberta and British Columbia operations including Bell West, Bell Mobility and Bell World.

Paul Healey has been appointed president of Bell’s western operations. Healey, who will continue his role as head of wireless services in both provinces, replaces Randy Reynolds, who is retiring.

Bell has offices in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver and employs more than 1,500 staff.

Irfhan Rajani has returned to the helm of Vancouver-based Apparent Networks, Inc.

The company founder and chairman resumes his previous role as chief executive following the resignation of Glenn Wong. Wong, who had been with the company since December 2002, has resigned. Rajani founded Apparent Networks in 2000 as Jaalam Technologies. Prior to founding the company, Rajani helped establish several other companies, including TeleBackup Systems.

Apparent is a privately held company that develops and markets network intelligence software. The company has offices in Vancouver and Seattle.

Westport Innovations Inc. has put Elaine Wong in the chief financial officer’s chair.

Wong will also serve as vice-president of finance for the company.

She has been acting CFO since June last year and previously served as director of corporate performance and finance for Cummins Westport, a joint venture with Cummins Inc.

Westport Innovations Inc. (WPT-TSX), a company based in Vancouver, develops gaseous fuel-engine technologies for commercial transportation applications.
