Chromos Molecular Systems Inc. (CHR-TSX) has made several additions to its executive ranks.
Dr. Phillip Maples has been appointed vice-president of clinical development and manufacturing. As well, Dr. Alan Hardwick becomes the new vice-president of process development and Kathryn Hayashi takes on the role of vice-president of finance.
Maples has more than 18 years experience in biotechnology and health care and was previously VP of technical operations for CellExSys.
Hardwick brings more than 20 years of experience developing cell selection and expansion processes. Hayashi joined Chromos in September 2003 as director of finance. Previously, she was general manager at The Nettwerk Group. Chromos Molecular Systems Inc. is a public biotechnology company based in Burnaby.
ACD Systems International Inc. has appointed Larry Langs as executive VP of sales, marketing and business development.
Langs held previous roles with InterMedia Business Partners, the Musician.com for Guitar Center and MP3.com.
Victoria-based ACD (ASA-TSX) is a developer and marketer of digital imaging software.
Russ Cowan has been appointed executive director of marketing and sales, and Kathy Stuparyk as marketing manager and co-ordinator for Bear Mountain Golf and Country Club.

Cowan has been the film commissioner of the Greater Victoria Film Commission since April 2003. Stuparyk has been with ACD Systems, The Digital Imaging Company in Victoria since 1997, most recently as marketing, communications, advertising and promotions co-ordinator.
Located 20 minutes from Victoria, Bear Mountain is a resort community anchored by a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course.

Justason, who has practised in the Lower Mainland for more than 15 years, was previously vice-president of CGT Research International (now Nordic Research Group) and a former partner in the Mustel Group.

Howe has extensive international sales management experience in both the financial services and technology sectors.

Arapahoe Energy Corp. has appointed Ross Moulton to the position of vice-president of exploration effective immediately. He will direct the company’s future exploration activities in the Alberta Foothills and in central and northern Alberta.
Moulton has more than 32 years of domestic and international oil and gas industry experience. Since May, he has been an independent exploration consultant to various exploration companies.
Based in Vancouver, Arapahoe Energy (AAO-TSXV) is a junior oil and gas exploration company.
