Winnipeg biotechnology company Kane Biotech Inc. has appointed Srinivasa Madhyastha as vice-president of research.
Madhyastha has been with Kane since 2002, first as senior scientist and manager and later director of research. He has more than 20 years of experience in scientific research, management and teaching.
Kane Biotech develops products to prevent and disperse bacterial biofilms. It trades on the Venture Exchange as KNE.
Miraculins Inc. (TSXV:MOM) has appointed Christopher Moreau president and chief executive officer.
Jim Charlton, president since 2004, will continue as a director.
Moreau, who joined the company in March 2006, was previously its VP of business development.
Miraculins develops biological markers for the diagnosis and treatment of cancers. Its head office is in Winnipeg.
