Quick-food restaurant company priszm brandz has chosen Edmonton as the site of its new customer service centre.
The company, which provides operators across Western Canada for KFC and Pizza Hut, opened the $5- million, 15,000-sq.-ft centre last week.
“The call-centre expansion program is part of our overall strategy to build more restaurants and provide faster, better service to our customers,” said John Bitove, chairman of priszm brandz.
“Our call centre operation had only 38 people in June. We are now looking to hire 150 more employees to bring the total number to 190 employees within the next four months, to handle a total of over four million calls a year,” Bitove said.
Jim Edwards, president and CEO of Economic Development Edmonton, says more companies from across Canada and the United States are choosing Edmonton to set up their operations because of the city’s healthy labour pool, lower taxes and operating costs, and the high quality of life.
Priszm brandz is the largest owner-operator of quick-service restaurants in Canada with a total of 768 restaurants and brands including KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
