B.C.-based Canfor Corp. has appointed a new chief financial operator, hiring Scott Wilson, senior vice-president and controller of Calgary-based pipeline operator Enbridge Inc. Wilson, who will also hold the title of vice-president of finance, will join Canfor in late July, the integrated forest products company (TSX:CFP) said.
He succeeds Doug Wilkes, who left to "pursue new challenges" in December following the integration of Canfor and Slocan Forest Products.
Infowave Software, Inc. (TSX:IW) has hired an industry veteran as its new vice-president of marketing. William Pieser comes to the Vancouver-based provider of mobile enterprise software with more than 20 years of industry experience. Most recently he was executive vice-president of business development for CapitalStream.
Northern Orion Resources Inc. (TSX:NNO; AMEX:NTO) of Vancouver has appointed Brian Montpellier as vice-president of project development. He has more than 30 years of experience in developing mining and mineral processing plants around
FortisBC Inc. has filled two positions in its newly established Kelowna head office.
Michele Leeners has become VP of finance and chief financial officer, and Chuck Lee has become controller.
Leeners replaces Bob Meyers, who is returning to Newfoundland where he will be working in Fortis Inc.'s finance group. Prior to joining FortisBC, she was manager of tax and of financial reporting for the Canadian division of a U.S. oil and gas company.
Lee has worked for Fortis for more than 14 years in a variety of roles. The position of controller is a newly established role in the company's now standalone B.C. operations.

David Bikerman has been named president of Sino Silver Corp. (OTCBB:SSLV) of Vancouver.

Sino Silver is involved in the exploration for silver deposits in Inner Mongolia.
Vancouver-based Sierra Systems Group Inc. has restructured its consulting operations into western and eastern groups to be headed up by two newly appointed executive vice-presidents.
Bill Thomson, formerly Sierra's B.C. branch manager, has been appointed EVP for western operations.
John Broere, formerly Sierra's Los Angeles branch manager, is now the EVP for eastern operations.
