Mariah Energy has made some changes to its senior ranks.

The Calgary firm has named co-founder and business vice-president Richard Adamson as a director and technology adviser.

Adamson will work as a consultant as he pursues other business opportunities.

Myra Berrub will move from her role as applications specialist to the position of manager of research and development. John Yeung, meanwhile, has been named manager of software/control after three years as a systems specialist with the firm (MRH-TSXV).

Electrical engineer Angel Torres joins the company as operations manger after seven years in project management for utility generation and transmission companies in his native Colombia. As well, Mark Beeny brings 15 years of experience in commercial real estate as the new vice-president of marketing and sales.

Comac Food Group Inc. of Calgary has a new president and CEO.

Mark Waldron was most recently the CEO of Medical Resources Management, Inc. of California, a mobile surgical services company.

Comac has more than 250 franchise and corporate stores operating across Canada under three retail brands: Domino’s Pizza, Pastel’s Café and Company’s Coming Bakery Café.

Ranchgate Energy Inc. (ROG-TSX) has appointed Edward Marcinew to the post of vice- president of exploration. Marcinew has more than 20 years of petroleum industry experience, more recently as senior exploration and exploitation specialist for a large U.S. firm.

James Sprenger is the new vice-president of marketing for MEDIchair.

Formerly the company’s marketing director, Sprenger will develop a long-term marketing strategy as well as corporate and franchise advertising campaigns.Calgary-based MEDIchair is a home medical equipment franchise operation with 58 stores across Canada.

Schwanberg International Incorporated has named John Murdoch as president and CEO.

Murdoch has more than 20 years of industry experience, including his most recent role as field operations manager for the Kazakhstan operations of Hurricane Hydrocarbons Ltd.

He replaces Burkhard Franz, who will continue as chairman of the Calgary-based company (SCH- TSX-V).

Former controller Savi Franz, meanwhile, has been appointed chief financial officer at the energy firm.

Brian McGill has stepped down as chief financial officer of Calgary-based TCEnet Inc. McGill will continue as a consultant for the firm (TCE-TSXV) as he pursues his business development practice.

Orin Grovum has joined the team at Rogers Associate Financial Partners Inc./The Rogers Financial Group, based in Calgary.

Grovum is a former chief operating officer with Deloitte and Touche Inc., and was director of finance and administration for the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan. Most recently, he worked as an independent consultant specializing in taxation.
