Craig Warnock is filling the City of Edmonton's new position of chief financial officer and treasurer. Warnock, currently executive vice-president and treasurer of ATB Financial, starts this new role May 20. He will focus on long-term fiscal planning with the city undergoing a period of unprecedented growth

Paul Kelly has been appointed chief operating officer for First Calgary Savings. Until the end of 2008, Kelly will also retain his responsibilities as CFO. In a similar move, First Calgary Savings' partner Envision Financial has named Bev Brown as its COO. Other changes have also taken place within First Calgary Savings' leadership team. Warren Book has been promoted to VP of finance and Harold Chornoboy has been promoted to VP of commercial banking. First Calgary Savings is the province's second-largest credit union with some $1.9 billion in assets under administration.

Rod Uchytil has joined Xtreme Coil Drilling Corp. (TSX:XDC) in the newly created position of president. Uchytil was previously chief operating officer of Coil-X Drilling Systems Corp. Xtreme Coil builds and operates drilling rigs using proprietary technology. Its head office is in Calgary.

Decision Dynamics Technology Ltd. (TSXV:DDY), a provider of operations management software for the energy industry, has made changes to its management team. Chief financial officer David Hunt has stepped down. Kim Tremblay, previously the controller, becomes acting CFO. The company said it has now reduced its senior management team from seven to three people to reduce expenses and improve financial performance. Decision Dynamics' head office is located in Calgary with an office in Houston.

Environmental consulting firm Trace Associates Inc. has appointed two new partners. Carlene Schmidt joined Trace in 2007. She manages remediation and reclamation programs for upstream oil and gas clients. Jason Hampson also joined the company in 2007. He manages large-scale environmental liability, assessment and remediation projects for clients in the upstream oil and gas, and real estate sectors. Founded in 2006, Trace Associates is an employee-owned firm serving Western and Northern Canada from offices in Calgary and Edmonton.

Following the previously announced repositioning of Kereco Energy Ltd. (TSX: KCO), Stephen Nikiforuk, VP of finance and CFO, has left to pursue other interests.

Controller Darren Dittmer has assumed the role of acting CFO. Kereco is a Calgary-based junior light oil and natural gas exploration and development company.

(TSXV:NML) has made a number of appointments: Jean-Charles Bourassa becomes VP of mining, Dean Journeaux becomes COO, Bish Chanda VP of marketing, and Moulaye Melainine VP of development. New Millennium is developing iron ore properties in Quebec and Newfoundland and Labrador. Its head office is in Calgary.

Fording Canadian Coal Trust (TSX:FDG.UN, NYSE:FDG) has promoted Mark Gow as VP and CFO of the trust. He will also be appointed VP and CFO of the Elk Valley Coal Partnership by its managing partner, Teck Cominco. Gow succeeds Jim Brown, who will remain as a VP and an officer of the trust and Elk Valley Coal until his retirement at the end of the year. Gow has been with the trust and its predecessors for 11 years, most recently as VP of finance. Fording Canadian Coal Trust has a 60-per-cent interest in the metallurgical coal operations of the Elk Valley Coal Partnership. The trust's head office is in Calgary.

Exceed Energy Inc. (TSXV: EX.A, EX.B) has named Sheldon Funk as its VP of land. Funk replaces Jim Carriere, who has retired. Exceed is a Calgary-based oil and gas company.

Garneau Inc. (TSX:GAR) has recruited Richard Hughes as CFO. He replaces Frank Deys, who has shifted to the housing industry. Hughes comes with more than 25 years of financial experience in both the public and private sectors. Garneau provides protective coatings and linings for oil and gas pipeline protection. Its corporate office is in Nisku.

Enerplus Resources Fund (TSX:ERF.UN, NYSE:ERF) has added Dana Johnson as the president of its U.S. operations, to be based in the Denver office. Prior to joining Enerplus, Johnson held the position of senior VP and COO of Quicksilver Resources Canada Inc. Enerplus is a conventional oil and natural gas income fund based in Calgary.

Former BC Hydro CFO Alister Cowan has been hired as VP and CFO of Husky Oil Operations Ltd. Parent company Husky Energy Inc. (TSX:HSE) is a Calgary-based integrated energy and energy-related company.

DirectCash Income Fund (TSX:DCI.UN) says CFO Arie Prins has tendered his resignation to take another position as a CFO with a private company. Prins' resignation will take effect at the end of business on May 20. DirectCash is a Calgary-based operator of non-bank automated teller machines.

VP of land Greg Johnson has left Triton Energy Corp. (TSXV:TEZ).

Triton is a Calgary-based company engaged in the exploration, development and production of petroleum and natural gas.

OSUM Oil Sands Corp. has appointed Steve Spence as VP of projects. Spence is the company's fifth key hire in the last six months with experience on existing bitumen projects in the Cold Lake area.

OSUM is a privately held junior oilsands company based in Calgary.
