Mark’s Work Wearhouse president Garth Mitchell has stepped down from the company helm and company veterans Michael Lambert and Paul Wilson have assumed new executive responsibilities.

Lambert, currently chief financial officer, becomes president of Mark’s, and executive vice-president and officer of Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited. In this role, Lambert will be accountable for the continued integration of Mark’s within Canadian Tire as well as new business development for Mark’s operations.

Wilson, currently chief operating officer, becomes president and chief operating officer of Mark’s with operational accountability for sales, marketing, buying and store operations.

Mark’s Work Wearhouse operates 306 stores in Canada, selling work and work-related apparel.

Richard Foster has been appointed chief technology officer for WestGrid, a $34-million research infrastructure project spanning Alberta and B.C. Foster, a former Edmontonian, has left his post as technical director of the High Performance Computing Expertise Centre at Hewlett Packard.

He will direct development of next-generation computing and network tools in a collaborative project that involves eight institutions including universities in Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge and Vancouver. Foster will be based in Vancouver.

Jeff Wallace has joined AGTI Consulting Services (West). Wallace previously held the position of president and director of an IT systems development and project management services firm.

In his new position, he will be responsible for ensuring projects successfully meet client expectations. AGTI offers IT consulting and project management services to achieve results through the effective application of technology.

Russ Wells has resigned as president and CEO of Moveitonline Inc., based in Calgary. Wells is leaving to pursue other opportunities. A board special committee will assume his duties until a replacement is found.

Houston-based Apache Corporation has named Floyd Price to the position of corporate executive vice-president.

Price, 53, is president of Calgary-based subsidiary Apache Canada Ltd. He joined the firm in 1990 and has held a number of senior roles including a term as president of Apache International.

Apache Corporation is an independent oil and gas producer with operations in the United States, Canada, Egypt, Australia, Poland, China and Argentina.

Rogers Financial Group has appointed Ed Dooley as vice-president, mortgage services in the Calgary office. Dooley has been a mortgage broker for more than 30 years with a background of business and community service.

Janice Burns has joined Rogers as a senior mortgage agent with more than 21 years of experience in the industry. Most recently she worked as an independent agent. She will look after all residential mortgage business as well as service all mortgages for the Winnipeg and Vancouver offices.

Enerplus Resources Fund has made a number of executive appointments.

Garry Tanner, previously senior vice-president, business development, has been appointed senior VP and chief operating officer. Ian Dundas has been appointed to the position of VP and director, business development. David McCoy has joined Enerplus as general counsel. Daniel Stevens has been promoted to VP, development services.

Enerplus Resources Fund (ERF.un-TSX, ERF-NYSE) is North America’s largest conventional oil and natural gas income fund.
