ZCL Composites Inc. (TSX:ZCL) has filled two new executive positions: Ron Bachmeier becomes COO and Ron Fink becomes executive VP. Prior to this appointment Bachmeier was Xerxes’ COO. Fink has been with ZCL since 1990, most recently as its VP of operations and marketing. ZCL manufactures underground fibreglass tanks. Its head office is in Edmonton.

Bob Rodda has taken on the newly created role of COO for Pason Systems Inc. (TSX:PSI). Rodda has been with Pason for more than 12 years, most recently as general manager Canada. Filling the latter position is David Holodinsky, who joined Calgary-based Pason last year in the role of Canadian operations manager. Pason Systems provides rental oilfield instrumentation systems.

Phase Separation Solutions Inc. (PS2), a wholly owned subsidiary of West Mountain Capital Corp. (TSXV:WMT), has appointed Greg Gauthier as its VP of pharmaceutical and consumer products. Most recently he was managing director of MedTurn International Inc. PS2 is a national waste management and remediation service provider with headquarters in Calgary.

Oil and gas company Canadian Superior Energy Inc. (TSX:SNG) has named former Berkana Energy Corp. CFO Robb Thompson as its new chief financial officer. Calgary-based Superior said it has also hired Seeker Petroleum founder Leif Snethun as VP of its Western Canadian operations. The moves were in response to Canadian Superior’s recent “significant” growth, the company said in a release. Canadian Superior, which has offshore operations in Trinidad and Tobago and Nova Scotia as well as land-based assets in Western Canada, said it plans more expansions to its management in the near future.

CFO Donald Milne has left Winstar Resources Ltd. (TSX:WIX). Company president David Monachello will assume the role of CFO on an interim basis. Winstar is a Calgary-based junior oil and gas company active in Tunisia, Alberta and Hungary.

Bob Bowman has resigned for personal reasons from Action Energy Inc. (TSXV:AEC) as president and COO. Roger Tang, Action’s chairman, has assumed the positions of president and CEO. In addition, Douglas Cole has been appointed as senior VP of engineering. Action Energy is a Calgary junior oil and gas company focused on Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Bankers Petroleum Ltd. (TSX: BNK) has appointed Abdel Badwi as CEO, Douglas Urch as VP of finance and CFO, and Ian McMurtrie as VP of exploration. Badwi was named to the board last November. Richard Wadsworth will continue as president and COO. With Urch’s appointment, Juneyt Tirmandi has stepped down as CFO and will continue as financial advisor. Urch previously was VP of finance and CFO of Rally Energy Corp. and its subsidiaries. McMurtrie also comes from Rally Energy, where he was most recently VP of exploration. He remains president of Cawdor Investments Ltd. Bankers is a Calgary-based oil and gas company focused on opportunities in unconventional petroleum.

Telkwa Gold Corp. (TSXV:TKW) says Kirk McKinnon has been named president and chief executive officer, replacing Michael Marchand, who becomes vice-president for exploration. McKinnon said in a release that management is “focused on aggressively advancing Telkwa’s current properties and will look to complete a first-phase financing in the near future.” Calgary-based Telkwa has three sites in Nevada.

The board of directors of Trident Resources Corp. and Trident Exploration Corp. has hired Alan Withey as CFO. Over the past six years, Alan has held the CFO position in two junior public oil and gas companies in Canada. Calgary-based Trident is a natural gas exploration and development company focused on resources from coals in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

As part of Javelin Energy Inc.’s management restructuring and in order to reduce G&A costs, David Thomas has resigned as president. His duties will be assumed by the chairman and CEO, Brian Fraser, with assistance from engineering and industry consultants. Javelin Energy (TSXV:JAV) is a Calgary-based junior oil and gas company focused on petroleum and natural gas properties in Western Canada.

Penn West Energy Trust (TSX:PWT.UN, NYSE:PWE) has made changes to its management team. Murray Nunns, P.Geol., is joining the Calgary company as president and chief operating officer. Nunns was a member of Penn West’s board from 2005 until January 2008. David Middleton, who has held senior positions with Penn West since 1999, takes on a more concentrated role as executive vice-president of operations and business development. Todd Takeyasu, previously senior VP of finance-treasury, has been promoted to executive VP and CFO. Sherry Wendt, previously corporate counsel and assistant corporate secretary, has been appointed corporate secretary. Resigning from Penn West are Paul Charron and Richard Tiede. Penn West is the largest conventional oil- and natural gas trust in North America.

Veraz Petroleum Ltd. (CNQ:VRAZ) has engaged Colin Christie as VP of finance and CFO. Most recently, he was partner and senior VP of Alger & Associates Inc. Christie will be based at head office in Calgary. Veraz is a junior exploration company.

Kenneth Haddad has joined Precision Drilling Corp., administrator of Precision Drilling Trust (TSX:PD.UN, NYSE:PDS), as VP of business development. He was previously with the mergers and acquisitions group of Halliburton in Houston. Calgary-based Precision provides energy services to the North American oil and gas industry.

Rolly Valentine has retired as chairman and CEO of Trafina Energy Ltd. (TSXV:TFA.A), which he founded in the early ’90s, but will continue in the role of non-executive chairman and a director. Thomas Holland, a director of the Calgary company, has been appointed interim president and CEO. Trafina remains primarily a natural gas producer.

McCoy Corp. (TSX:MCB) has a new CFO. Milica Stolic replaces Kerry Brown, who has resigned but will remain chairman. Stolic joined McCoy in January 2000. McCoy is a services and equipment provider focused primarily on the global oil and gas sector. Its head office is in Edmonton.

Arthur Wong is resigning as an officer of Genesis Land Development Corp. (TSX:GDC) to pursue other opportunities. He will continue to serve on the board. Genesis is a real estate development company operating in Alberta and British Columbia, with the majority of lands located in and around Calgary, its home base.

Connacher Oil and Gas Ltd. (TSX:CLL) has appointed Scott Carrothers as treasurer. He replaces Grant Ukrainetz, who was earlier promoted to VP of corporate development. Carrothers, who comes with more than 20 years of industry experience, will be based at Connacher’s head office in Calgary. Connacher is an integrated oil company whose principal asset is its extensive holdings in the Great Divide region of Alberta’s oilsands.
