Sid Siddiqui is the new president of the Consulting Engineers of B.C.
Siddiqui, general manager of the Vancouver office of Keen Engineering Co. Ltd., will oversee the business interests of a billion-dollar business that employs more than 10,000 people throughout the province.
He has been involved in the building engineering field for nearly three decades, the past 24 years in the consulting engineering business.
Vancouver-based hotel management firm CHIP Hospitality has appointed Tony Cary-Barnard to lead CHIP’s Project Spirit team.
The team was established to help the company develop new ways of doing business in the evolving tourism industry.
Cary-Barnard also serves as regional vice-president for CHIP in northern Alberta. He joined the company six years ago and is managing director of the Mayfield Inn and Suites at West Edmonton Mall.

Nancy Gray-Starkebaum is the new senior manager of recruiting at Burnaby-based Electronic Arts Canada.
Gray-Starkebaum has more than 10 years of human resources experience, most recently as North American recruiting operations manager with Crystal Decisions.

Vancouver-based Apparent Networks, Inc. has hired Curt Fisher as executive vice-president of sales and business development. Fisher has 20 years of senior sales and marketing experience with information technology vendors.
Apparent Networks is a privately held company that provides network intelligence support software.
Burnaby-based Xantrex Technology Inc. has appointed Jay Biskupski as vice-president and chief financial officer.
Biskupski was previously corporate controller of PMC-Sierra, Inc.
He replaces Al-Karim Kara, who has been Xantrex’s interim chief financial officer since March. Kara will continue as vice-president of customer service and chief information officer.
