Kathy Kropf has been named director of Schenker Canada Ltd.’s new courier division.
Kropf brings many years of logistics and transport expertise, most recently as managing director of Canadian worldwide sales for FedEx Canada.
Schenker Canada has a coast-to-coast network and a portfolio of supply chain services. Part of an international company, its Canadian office is in Mississauga.
Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd. (TSX:FFH) says that Douglas Libby will replace the retiring Nikolas Antonopoulos as president and CEO of its Crum & Forster Holdings subsidiary, and chair and CEO of its operating subsidiaries. Antonopoulos will continue as a consultant for Fairfax on strategic matters.
Libby has been chief executive of C&F’s Seneca Insurance Co. subsidiary. Joseph Braunstein Jr., president of C&F’s operating subsidiaries other than Seneca, will become vice-chair of C&F Holdings and COO of its operating subsidiaries.

Chipworks has promoted Mike Thumm to VP of patent intelligence and Gary Tomkins to VP of technical intelligence.
Thumm was most recently VP and CFO. Tomkins previously led Chipworks’ core capabilities team.

The Canadian Renewable Fuels Association has named government relations specialist Gordon Quaiattini as its new president. He was previously a principal at Wellington Strategy Group.

CTVglobemedia has named Bonnie Brownlee senior vice-president for corporate communications. She most recently worked with CTV on key strategic planning and partnership initiatives.

International Nickel Ventures Corp. (TSX:INV) has appointed Marco Tulio Naves de Carvalho to the position of VP of exploration. He brings more than 17 years of mining industry experience.

Hydrogen fuel system developer Hy-Drive Technologies Ltd. (TSXV:HGS) says that John Wright has resigned as chief operating officer. Wright joined Hy-Drive in June 2006.
The company is also promoting Trevor Hall to VP of operations as part of a broad management shuffle. Grove Bennett has been named VP of sales and marketing, and Shannon Brander VP of administration and corporate secretary.

Bronicheski is a chartered accountant with 20 years of experience in finance and executive management.

Lakeside Steel Corp. has named Tim Clutterbuck as president and CEO. Clutterbuck, who brings 27 years of industry experience, worked from 2001 to 2007 at Ryerson Canada.
