Scott Martin and Kevin Rasmussen have been appointed to senior management positions with Critical Mass.
Martin is vice-president, customer relationship management and alliances, while Rasmussen is VP of consulting cervices.
Martin was most recently chief executive officer of NextClick: The Personalization Agency. He is also co-founder and current president of The Personalization Consortium, an advocacy group formed by businesses to promote the beneficial and responsible use of technology for personalizing consumer and business relationships.
Rasmussen, also from NextClick, sits on the consortium’s policy committee. Critical Mass is a Web development and Internet consulting firm — and produces sites and marketing programs for large global firms, including Mercedes-Benz, Nike and Procter & Gamble.
Irene Dawe has been promoted to VP, Operations at Sterne Stackhouse Inc.
Dawe joined the firm a year ago and has several years of management experience. A former member of the Canadian Armed Forces, she has held executive positions with CAE Aviation, Hughes Canada Services and Support Division, and most recently with IKON Technology Services.
Dawe will focus on sales revenue and is responsible for co-ordinating and monitoring global use of Sterne Stackhouse technology.

Bob Tretiak and Bruce Calder have joined the board of directors of Calgary Technologies Inc.
Tretiak is co-founder, president and CEO of Applied Terravision Systems, a business-to-business solutions company.
He was recently nominated for Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Calder is VP, sales and client solutions, with Telus and has held a number of positions with BC TEL, DATEL Communications and TELUS.

Jeff Adams has joined CSI Wireless Inc. as its public relations manager. Adams previously held a similar post at online travel company Tripeze.com. CSI Wireless (CSY–TSE) specializes in high-accuracy Global Positioning System (GPS) products and wireless phone products. The 11-year-old firm has manufacturing and marketing facilities in Calgary, Phoenix and in California’s Silicon Valley.
Cameron Chell has been elected chairman of the board at Chell Merchant Capital Group.
Chell is also the company’s CEO and president. Also elected to the board of directors at its recent annual general meeting are: Gord Herman, David Bolink, Don Pagnutti, Peter Rona, Robert Stone and Adrian Towneing.

Terry Ritchie has been appointed senior manager of KPMG’s Calgary International Executive Services practice.
Previously, Ritchie was president of The Cross-Border Advisory Group, a firm specializing in cross-border tax, estate and financial planning matters. He has also worked for Nesbitt Burns as its national manager of estate planning.
