Calgary-based CSI Wireless, Inc. has inked a supply agreement with Nevada-based CNH Global worth more than $4 million.
CSI, which specializes in advanced wireless and global positioning satellite (GPS) technologies for the automotive, commercial and consumer markets, announced it has signed a contract with the world’s largest manufacturer of agricultural tractors.
CNH is also the third-largest manufacturer of construction equipment in the world.
CSI Wireless’s AssetVision product has been incorporated by Case Construction Equipment – a CNH brand – as the GPS tracking component of the brand’s new North American FleetLink asset-tracking service.
“FleetLink is an important co-operative development between CSI Wireless and CNH Global,” Stephen Verhoeff, CSI’s president and CEO, said in a statement.
FleetLink is an after-sales option for new and used Case Construction Equipment products, and is designed to improve fleet equipment utilization and maintenance management. Monitors that are mounted on equipment contain a CSI Wireless AssetVision unit, which houses a GPS receiver and cellular transmitter that enable the system to accurately track any equipment position to within a few feet of its exact location.
CSI Wireless (CSY-TSE) has offices in Silicon Valley and Phoenix.
