Great Western Diamonds Corp. (TSXV:GWD) has named Brent Jellicoe as its president and CEO.

Jellicoe is the former exploration manager for Kensington Resources Ltd.

Saskatoon-based Great Western is an exploration and mine development company focused on several diamond prospects.

Loring Ward International Ltd. has named Gerard Melia as CFO of Loring Ward Group Inc., the subsidiary that holds the company's U.S. operations.

Melia, who will work from Loring Ward's New York office, comes from Credit Suisse.

Loring Ward provides wealth-management services. It is an unlisted Canadian public company with head office in Winnipeg.

A civil servant has been appointed as the new president and chief executive of Saskatchewan's Crown Investments Corp.

Ron Styles is currently the deputy minister in the Finance Department. He will take over the holding company for Crown corporations such as SaskPower, SaskEnergy, SaskTel and SGI.

Styles replaces Tom Waller, who announced earlier this year he was stepping aside to return to his law practice.

Wardrop Engineering Inc. has appointed Shayne Smith to succeed Ernie Card as CEO of the Manitoba-registered company.

Smith, who joined Wardrop in 1988, became a member of Wardrop's ownership group in 1994 and has served as a managing director of the company since 1998.

Wardrop specializes in the forest products, infrastructure, manufacturing, mining and minerals, nuclear, oil and gas, and power sectors.
