Superior Diamonds Inc. (TSXV:SUP) has promoted Thomas Morris as president and CEO and a director of the company. He replaces John Paterson, who has resigned citing personal reasons. Morris joined Superior as vice-president of exploration in May 2003. Superior is a junior exploration company, primarily searching for diamonds in the Canadian Shield. Med BioGene Inc. (TSXV:MBI) says Nathan Yoganathan, MBI's founder, president and chief scientific officer, has transitioned from a daily operational role to one of chief scientific adviser. Bradley McLean, a senior scientist who joined MBI in early 2007, succeeds him as CSO. MBI is a biotech company developing genetic biomarkers to improve diagnosis of and treatment for cancer and cardiovascular disease. Its laboratory and offices are located in Discovery Park on the University of British Columbia campus.

Animas Resources Ltd. (TSXV:ANI) has named John Wilson VP of exploration. Wilson comes with more than 40 years of international experience in mine exploration and development. Vancouver-based Animas is a mineral resource company focused on acquisition and discovery in Latin America.

Dale Schultz is Continuum Resources Ltd.'s new VP of exploration. Schultz brings more than 17 years of experience in the mining exploration industry in North and South America. Aspreva Pharmaceuticals Corp. (TSX: ASV) is cutting 33 positions or about a quarter of its workforce in a major restructuring. The restructuring is expected to be completed during the third quarter of this year. The Victoria-based drug developer says chief scientific officer Richard Jones will be leaving the company as it focuses on core operations. The company says it remains committed to a partnership with drugmaker Roche and to patients enrolled in its studies.

Getty Copper Inc. (TSXV:GTC) has made a management change. Corby Anderson of Butte, Mont. has been appointed president and COO. He comes with nearly 30 years of global mining experience. Anderson replaces Jean Jacques Treyvaud, who is devoting more time to his personal business interests. Getty Copper is a junior miner based in Coquitlam.

JER Envirotech International Corp. (TSXV:JER) has named Peter Baran as chief operating officer. Baran was most recently VP, British Columbia for CGI Information Systems and Management. JER is a global manufacturer of wood-plastic composite compounds and panel boards, using waste or byproduct materials such as sawdust and ricehusk. Its head office is in Vancouver.

Western Canadian Coal Corp. (TSX:WTN) says Fausto Taddei has stepped down as CFO and left the company. William Caughill was named director of accounting while Jeff Redmond, director of finance, assumes responsibility for corporate finance and public reporting functions for the Vancouver-based company. Caughill had been acting as a consultant to the company. Redmond was appointed director of finance in February 2007 after serving as controller since joining the company in November 2004. In June, the company reported widened Q4 and yearend losses due to operating and debt-servicing costs associated with the startup of its Wolverine mine.

Network Exploration Ltd. (TSXV:NET.H) has promoted Richard Schnoor to CFO. He replaces Jeffrey Gordon, who will remain on Vancouver-based Network's board of directors. Schnoor was previously director of international operations. In addition to his new duties as CFO he will continue to assist with corporate strategy, development and property acquisition. Network is a mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition of base- and precious-metal properties in North and South America.

Satnam Sidhu of Re/Max Crest Realty, North Vancouver, has been elected as chair of the 16-member Real Estate Council of British Columbia for the 2007/08 term. Judi Whyte of Prudential Sussex Realty, West Vancouver, was elected as vice-chair. The council is a regulatory agency established by the province to license individuals and brokerages engaged in real estate sales, rental and strata property management.

Intrawest ULC has appointed Andy Wirth to the position of executive VP of sales and marketing, and chief marketing officer. Wirth joined Intrawest with the acquisition of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. in March 2007. He will be based in Steamboat Springs, Colo. where he serves as VP of sales and marketing for Steamboat Corp. Intrawest operates a network of resorts. It also develops real estate at its resorts and at other locations. Its head office is in Vancouver.

Gray-Grant will be based in the Vancouver office. Yip's career includes 22 years in the mining industry, most recently at Asarco, LLC. Yip takes over from Ross Mitchell who is retiring this year following 11 years as VP, finance at the company. Silver Standard is moving from an exploration company to a silver producer, with 17 projects in seven countries. Its head office is in Vancouver.

Wanda Lee has been appointed CFO, replacing David Miles. The corporate secretarial functions will be transferred, and Kim Casswell has resigned as corporate secretary. Sanu's head office is now in Vancouver.

Wolfin is also the president of Avino Silver & Gold Mines Ltd. and Gray Rock Resources Ltd. Coral Gold is exploring a portfolio of claim blocks in Nevada.
