Karim Teja has been appointed to the newly created position of chief operating officer of Imaging Dynamics Co. (TSX:IDL) of Calgary, while Noel Lumsden has been appointed chief financial officer.

Teja had been CFO since November 1999. Lumsden joined IDC in January, working as financial controller transitioning into the CFO role.

IDC provides digital radiography systems that replace film-based X-ray.

The president and CEO of Royal Host Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX:RYL.UN) is resigning effective Aug. 31. Greg Royer is leaving to pursue private business opportunities, but will remain as a trustee until his successor is in place.

Royal Host owns 37 hotels, manages 125 properties and franchises 111 locations in the mid-market to upscale segments. The trust is based in Calgary.

C1 Energy Ltd. (TSX:CTT) has made an addition to its senior management team. Don Wood is the new executive VP, and will assume the additional responsibilities of COO on July 16.

Wood has spent more than 20 years in the oil and gas industry in managerial and operational capacities.

Calgary-based C1 is a junior energy company with a focus on the Peace River Arch region.

Thunder Energy Trust (TSX:THY.UN) has promoted Tony Cadrin to the position of VP of geosciences. He was most recently manager of geosciences.

Thunder Energy Trust is an oil and gas income trust, having been created as a component of a plan of arrangement, which combined Thunder Energy Inc., Mustang Resources Inc. and Forte Resources.

TEC Edmonton has recruited Whitney Rockley as its vice-president of finance and financial executive in residence, whose role is to help client companies and launch a seed fund.

Rockley has successfully started and managed two corporate venture capital funds focused on investing in leading-edge energy and water technology companies. She has also worked for an energy fund in San Francisco. In addition to Whitney's venture capital experience, she has significant operating experience specifically in the areas of analytics and environment. As executive in residence, Rockley will provide advice and counsel to several TEC Edmonton client groups.

Connacher Oil and Gas Ltd. (TSX:CLL) has appointed Grant Ukrainetz as treasurer.

Before joining Connacher, he was a treasury and risk management analyst, and then treasury supervisor with one of Canada's largest international exploration and production companies. He is a chartered accountant.

Connacher recently expanded into the downstream refining business in Montana and plans development of its Great Divide oilsands project in northeastern Alberta. It also produces conventional crude oil and natural gas in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Proprietary Industries Inc. has changed its name to Jura Energy Corp., and trades as JEC on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Nigel McCue has been appointed president and CEO. The company says that he brings 30 years experience in the upstream sector of the petroleum industry. He is a director and CEO of Nemmoco Petroleum Ltd., a private exploration and production company with interests located principally in central and eastern Europe.

Graham Garner will stay on with the company as executive VP and a director.

Sysco Corp. (NYSE:SYY) says that John Hemeon has been named executive VP of Sysco Food Services of Edmonton, a food service distribution subsidiary. He has been senior VP of the operation.

Sysco Food Services of Edmonton provides products and services to food service operations throughout Alberta, the British Columbia interior, Yukon and the Northwest Territories. Sysco Corp.'s head office is in Houston.

The Mining Association of Canada has elected Derek Pannell, CEO of Falconbridge Ltd., as its chairman. He succeeds Richard Ross, president and CEO of Inmet Mining Corp.

Pannell is a metallurgical engineer with more than 35 years of experience in the mining and metals industry.

Based in Ottawa, MAC is the national organization for the Canadian mining industry.

Noel Cronin has been named vice-president of operations and engineering at Endev Energy Inc. (TSX:ENE), succeeding Rob Bell, who resigned to pursue other opportunities.

Cronin brings more than 30 years of experience in the western Canadian oil and gas industry, most recently as production vice-president for an oil and gas trust.

Endev is an oil and natural gas exploration, development and production company based in Calgary.

Calpine Corp. (OTC: CPNLQ) has named Gregory Doody as executive VP, general counsel and secretary.

He was previously executive VP, general counsel and secretary at HealthSouth Corp. Nancy Murray, who had been serving as Calpine's interim general counsel, remains in her position as senior VP.

Founded in 1984, Calpine is a major North American power company, capable of delivering nearly 27,000 megawatts of electricity to customers and communities in 21 U.S. states and three Canadian provinces. Its head office is in San Jose, Calif.

Guardian Exploration Inc. (TSXV:GX) says Ian Hill has resigned as CFO.

CEO Graydon Kowal will assume the role of chief financial officer until a replacement is hired.

Guardian is a Calgary-based corporation engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of resource properties.

Calgary's Heritage Park says that Rick Smith, executive director of the Heritage Park Foundation and former general manager of Heritage Park, has retired from the park on June 30.

Smith has been executive director of the Heritage Park Foundation, the fund-raising arm of the park organization, since June 2004.

Richard White will be leaving the Calgary Downtown Association once his successor has been selected and oriented. White has been executive director of the association for 11 years.

"There comes a time in one's life when a change is needed and it makes a lot of sense for me to explore new opportunities at this time," says White.
