Nisku-based NQL Drilling has appointed Kevin Nugent to the post of chief executive Nugent, the company’s chief financial officer, has served as acting CEO since Dean Livingstone was hospitalized several months ago.
Livingstone has since left the downhole equipment provider to “pursue other interests following his recovery from a recent illness,” the company said.
Nugent joined the firm (NQL-TSX) last September.
High Point Resources has made changes at the top.
The Calgary-based company (HPR-TSX) has hired Dennis Miller as vice-president of production and operations. He has 34 years of experience in intermediate and major companies.
Mark Armanious has been appointed VP of exploration. He was previously High Point’s exploration manager.
Neil McPherson takes on the role of vice-president of land. He was previously the company’s land manager.
Also, John Kiss has been appointed manager for corporate planning and business development.
High Point is an oil and gas company engaged in the exploration, development and production of natural gas and light oil in Alberta and northeastern British Columbia.
Flint Energy Services Ltd. is bolstering its Calgary headquarters.
Gary Foreman, currently president of Flint’s U.S. operating subsidiary Flint Energy Services, Inc., will relocate to Calgary from Tulsa, Okla.
He will serve as senior vice-president, production services. Foreman joined the company in 1978 and has headed up the U.S. subsidiary for seven years.
His Oklahoma post will be filled by Paul Boechler, currently the subsidiary’s executive vice-president. He previously served as VP of finance for the Calgary firm.
As well, Tim O’Brien will take on the position of senior vice-president, corporate services, transferring from a similar position in production services. He has run Flint’s Canadian production services group for several years.
Flint Energy (FES-TSX) provides integrated midstream production services through 41 operating locations throughout Western Canada and the southern and midwestern United States.
Local oil executive Stephen Newton is the new president of Calgary-based Adulis Resources Inc. (ADE-TSXV).
He replaces Ray Antony, who becomes chairman and chief financial officer.
Newton previously worked for Occidental Petroleum Inc., and led operations in Colombia for Alberta Energy Corp. and Solana Petroleum Exploration Colombia Ltd. Adulis has said it plans to acquire Solana this fall.
Arapahoe Energy Corp. has appointed Ross Moulton to the position of vice- president of exploration effective immediately. He will direct the company’s future exploration activities in the Alberta Foothills and in central and northern Alberta.
Moulton has more than 32 years of domestic and international oil and gas industry experience.
Since May, he has been an independent exploration consultant to various exploration companies.
Based in Vancouver, Arapahoe Energy (AAO-TSXV) is a junior oil and gas exploration company.
Tesco Corp. has a new chief operating officer.
Julio Quintana took up his new post on September 1. He comes to Tesco with more than 24 years of business, marketing and management experience.
Quintana will be responsible for management of all of Tesco’s operating divisions and subsidiaries.
Headquartered in Calgary, Tesco (TEO-TSX, TESOF-Nasdaq) designs, manufactures and services technology-based solutions for the upstream energy industry.
AltaCanada Energy Corp. (ANG-TSXV) has appointed Don Foulkes, formerly AltaCanada’s president, to the position of chief executive officer.
He replaces Josef Hodel, who has resigned as CEO but will remain as vice-chairman and a director.
Foulkes has more than 34 years of experience in the oil and natural gas business.
Calgary-based AltaCanada is engaged in the acquisition, exploitation and production of crude oil and natural gas reserves in Western Canada and Montana.
