The Edmonton Airports board of directors has selected Reg Milley as president and chief executive officer.

Milley will start his new role at Edmonton Airports on Feb. 1.

Milley is currently president and CEO of the Halifax International Airport Authority, a position he has held since January 2001.

Edmonton Airports is a not-for-profit organization that manages the region's airport assets.

The Province of Alberta has named a former energy minister as its representative in Washington, D.C.

Murray Smith's contract runs for three years.

The Alberta representative's office will be based in the Canadian Embassy.
