EnCana Corp. (TSX, NYSE:ECA) has appointed Mike Graham, the company's executive vice-president and president for Canadian foothills, as president of its Canadian region, which is a consolidation of EnCana's Canadian plains and Canadian foothills regions.

Bill Oliver, EnCana's executive VP and president of midstream and marketing, takes over responsibility for the company's Canadian oil and natural gas businesses in the Athabasca region of northeast Alberta.

Roger Biemans, most recently president of Canadian plains, has decided to leave EnCana to pursue other interests.

EnCana is one of the largest holders of gas and oil resource lands onshore North America.

Superior Plus Income Fund (TSX:SPF.UN) has replaced its CEO and announced measures to revive its lagging businesses.

Geoff Mackey has been replaced as president and chief executive by Grant Billing, who will be chairman and CEO. Chief financial officer Mark Schweitzer will be leaving Superior on Nov. 1, following a recruitment process for his replacement.

The Calgary-based fund, which initiated a strategic review of its operations in April, said it will remain as a diversified income trust but will take measures to cut debt and strive for growth in the medium to long term.

Chartwell Technology Inc. (TSX:CWH) says Don Gleason, its VP of operations and CFO, has resigned to pursue other business interests. Gleason will act in a consulting capacity during the transition period.

Dale Kearns becomes the new chief operating and financial officer (COO/CFO). Most recently, he was the CFO of Zi Corp.

Based in Calgary, Chartwell develops gaming applications and entertainment content for the Internet and wireless platforms.

Solium Capital Inc. (TSXV:SUM) has appointed Rudi Bester to the position of VP of market development for Canada.

Prior to joining Solium, Bester worked for Ceridian Canada Ltd.

Solium specializes in the online administration of equity-based incentive and savings plans. Its head office is in Calgary.

True Energy Trust (TSX: TUI.UN) has named Edward Brown as its VP of finance and CFO. Most recently he held the same positions at Petrofund Energy Trust.

True is a Calgary-based oil and natural gas trust with producing assets in Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

DDB Canada has made four hires in its Edmonton branch.

Marlene McNaughton joins the agency as a senior account director. She was previously a brand manager at Intuit Canada.

Dale Bochon joins the creative department as a senior writer. He has more than 10 years of experience working for ad agencies in Alberta.

Also joining the creative team is senior art director Pradeep Rao. Previously Rao worked as a senior art director at MacLaren McCann Healthcare in Toronto.

Kim Uniat joins DDB Edmonton as an account manager with the agency's PR division. Previously she was the director of sales and marketing with the Edmonton Rush Lacrosse Club.
