UTS Energy Corp. has added chief executive to president William Roach’s title.
Roach joined UTS in June as president to develop the company’s Fort Hills oilsands project in northeastern Alberta. Prior to that he had worked for Husky Energy as a manager of Atlantic offshore operations.
UTS (TSX:UTS) also said that Dennis Sharp will become executive chairman.
Storm Cat Energy Corp. (TSXV:SME) has a new president.
Scott Zimmerman of Denver has been a company director.
Previously VP of operations and engineering for Evergreen Resources Inc., Zimmerman will lead Storm Cat in expanding its coalbed methane projects and initiatives in North America and Asia.
Storm Cat’s past president, Chris Dyakowski, will continue as an officer of the company.
Sustainable Energy Technologies Ltd. (TSXV: STG) has appointed Jay Harris to the position of controller.
He joins the company after nine years as controller at Chariot Carriers.
Harris will work to ensure that proper cash-management, inventory and supply-chain controls are in place for sales to European and North American fuel-cell and solar applications.
Sustainable Energy develops, manufactures and markets advanced power electronics products for emerging alternative and renewable energy markets.
Alan Williams, chief operating officer and vice-president of exploration, is leaving Endev Energy Inc. effective Nov. 5.
The company said Williams will be pursuing other business opportunities.
Endev (TSX:ENE) is a Calgary-based crude oil and natural gas exploration, development and production company.
APF Energy Trust has made a number of personnel changes.
Wayne Geddes has joined the trust as vice-president of land.
Geddes has more than 23 years of experience in the oil and gas business, most recently as VP of land and business development at Calver Resources Inc.
Bonnie Nicol, who had been APF’s vice-president of operations, is leaving APF at the end of October.
John Ewing, who had been APF’s VP of GeoScience has left the company to pursue other opportunities.
Their two positions have been combined, with Dan Allan, formerly APF’s VP of coalbed methane, being appointed VP of exploration and production.
Elsewhere in the company, Wayne Dowhaniuk has been promoted from senior engineer to manager of technical services, while Kevan Newman has been promoted from senior engineer to manager of operations.
And the following individuals have been appointed to head APF’s business units: Howard Anderson, manager of the central business unit; Gordon MacMahon, manager of the western business unit; Jeff Shaw, manager of the southeast Saskatchewan business unit; Murray Stewart, manager of the southern business unit; and Steve Rosenstein, manager of coalbed methane.
Liz Ganton has joined the company as manager of human resources. Most recently, she was manager of human resources and administration with Esprit Exploration Ltd.
Dave Snyder, who has been APF’s manager of human resources and administration since 2001, becomes manager of office services.
Mary C. Blue has been named vice-chairman of Luke Energy Ltd. She is one of the company’s founders and previously held the positions of president and chief operating officer.
While Blue will continue to be based at Luke Energy’s headquarters in Calgary, she will be devoting some of her time to outside business interests.
The role of president will be assumed by company CEO Harold Pedersen, who will now hold the dual title of president and CEO.

Matrikon Inc. (TSX:MTK) has made changes to its senior management team.
Shafin U. Kanji has been appointed to the newly created position of executive vice-president of operations. Shafin was previously Matrikon’s chief financial officer.
Nimal Rodrigo will become CFO effective Nov. 1, pending TSX and board approval. Most recently, Nimal served as CFO and VP of finance of Intuit Canada Ltd.
Floyd Bjorgan returns to the head office as VP of human resources and administration. Floyd most recently served as the managing director of Matrikon’s Australian operations.
Sam Crisafulli has assumed the role of managing director for Australian operations. He has held senior positions within Hunter Control as well as UNAC, both of which now form part of Matrikon’s operations in Australia.
