Eagle Rock Exploration Ltd. (TSXV:ERX) has promoted John Duhault to vice-president of exploration. Duhault was previously president and chief executive officer of Dragonheart Resources Ltd., acquired by Eagle Rock in December 2007. He had been exploration manager for Eagle Rock since then. Based in Calgary, Eagle Rock is involved in the development of oil and gas properties in Western Canada.
Alex Kondra has become executive director of the Centre for Innovative Management (CIM), home of Athabasca University's MBA program, for a two-year term that began April 1. Kondra was most recently acting associate VP, academic for AU. He succeeds Lindsay Redpath, who was one of the founders of AU's online MBA program. CIM is located in St. Albert.
Guardian Exploration Inc. (TSXV:GX) has appointed Gerry O'Reilly as VP of exploration. He comes with more than 26 years of energy industry experience in Western Canada. Guardian is a Calgary-based corporation engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of resource properties.
Wood Composite Technologies Inc. (TSXV:WCT) has appointed Dennis Collins as the new president for Wood Composite's operating subsidiaries, Millennium Decking Inc. and Millennium Decking (USA) Inc. Collins, who was originally hired as VP of sales of Millennium Decking in November 2006, will continue to be based in the U.S. John Greenwood will continue in his role as CEO with both subsidiaries. Wood Composite is an Edmonton-based junior industrial company focused on alternative composite building materials.
The man who steered the Alberta Energy Utilities Board through its transition into two governing bodies is calling it quits. William Tilleman, who took the reins Sept. 17, 2007, has resigned to return to his law practice. The new Energy Resources Conservation Board and Alberta Utilities Commission replace the EUB. The EUB will continue to issue decisions on applications filed with it before January 2008, and will wind down its affairs in the coming months.
Canoro Resources Ltd. (TSXV:CNS) has made some management changes. Bob Szczuczko, executive VP of geoscience and engineering, is no longer with the company. In his place, Doug Uffen, VP of geoscience, will be assuming responsibility for all geoscience activities. Canoro also has hired John Kroshus as VP of engineering and operations. Kroshus comes with 26 years of experience in the energy sector. He will be working in India on a full-time basis. Canoro is a Calgary-based oil and gas company operating in northeast India.
Pulse Data Inc. (TSX:PSD) has promoted Neal Coleman to VP of sales and marketing. He was previously Pulse's manager of sales and marketing. Calgary-based Pulse markets 2D and 3D seismic data for the western Canadian energy sector.
Craig Snelgrove has resigned as COO for Guest-Tek Interactive Entertainment Ltd. (TSX:GTK), a provider of broadband technology services to the global hospitality industry. The company's head offices are in Calgary.
PetroGlobe Inc. (TSXV:PGB) says its CFO, Arif Shivji, has left to pursue other interests. Interim CEO Jason James will also serve as interim CFO. Based in Calgary, PetroGlobe has an exploration and development focus on Alberta and Texas.
Vast Exploration Inc. (TSXV:VST) has appointed Gary Lobb as its VP of finance and CFO. He will concurrently be the VP of finance and CFO of Longford Energy Inc. and Stetson Oil and Gas Ltd. He replaces Deborah Battiston, who will be stepping down as CFO to pursue other business opportunities effective April 30. Vast Exploration is a junior Canadian oil and gas company pursuing crude oil and natural gas opportunities. Its corporate office is in Calgary.
CV Technologies Inc. (TSX:CVQ) has announced the appointment of Nazir Noormohamed as CFO. He replaces Gordon Brown, who has left the company. Noormohamed, a CMA with nearly 25 years of experience, will be working on contract until a permanent replacement CFO is found for the Edmonton company. CV Technologies sells natural therapeutics for disease prevention and health maintenance.
Mindoro Resources Ltd. (TSXV:MIO) has made an addition to the management team of its Philippine operating subsidiary, MRL Gold Phils. Inc. Mon Monteros has been appointed to the position of VP for social and environmental management. He formerly held a senior position with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in the Philippines. Mindoro has a portfolio of projects and prospects in that country. Its head office is in Edmonton.
North American Energy Partners Inc. (NAEP) (TSX, NYSE:NOA) has named Chris Yellowega to the newly created position of VP of major mining developments. Yellowega most recently served as VP of upstream ops with Synenco Energy Inc. Based in Acheson, Alta., NAEP is one of the largest providers of heavy construction, mining, piling and pipeline services in Western Canada.
Norex Exploration Services Inc. (TSX:NRX) has engaged Randy Luckiw as VP of the Calgary company’s U.S. and Eastern Canada division. Norex says Luckiw has been instrumental in its expansion in the U.S. where it has offices in Denver, Colorado and Elmira, N.Y. Norex supplies seismic data acquisition services to the oil and gas industry.
