Petrowest Energy Services Trust (TSX:PRW.UN) said its president and CEO Ken Drysdale has resigned "to pursue personal interests," but will stay on as an adviser and remain on the board. The Calgary-based company said chairman Hugh Gillard will become interim CEO in addition to his current duties. Keith Hudson, currently VP of business development, will become interim COO.

Christopher Challis, formerly the president of EnQuest Energy Services Corp.'s U.S. operations, has been promoted to senior VP and COO of EnQuest (TSXV:ENQ). EnQuest provides specialized resources to the energy industry in the drilling and completions, construction, pipeline and midstream sectors. Its corporate office is in Red Deer.

CCR Technologies Ltd. (TSX:CRL), a chemical purification technology solutions and service provider to the upstream and downstream oil and gas industries, has appointed Murray Hinz, CA, as CFO to replace Alan Mosher, who has left to pursue other business interests. CCR is based in Calgary.

Desmarais Energy Corp. (TSXV:DES) says Wayne Singular, CMA, has agreed to serve again as its CFO. Singular previously served in this capacity for the company up until July 2007. Desmarais is a Calgary-based independent junior natural gas and oil producer.

Deepwell Energy Services Trust (TSX:DWL.UN) says the board of directors of its operating company, Deepwell Energy Services Ltd., has appointed Bob Ritchie as the company's CEO and president, succeeding Robert Dodds, who resigned last month. Most recently Ritchie was VP of corporate development for DC Energy Services Inc. The trust is a Calgary-based entity focused exclusively on providing waste treatment and disposal services to the oil and natural gas industry in Western Canada.

Buffalo Resources Corp. (TSXV:BFR) says Gordon Harris has resigned as a director, senior VP and COO of the company. Calgary-based Buffalo pursues oil and gas opportunities in Western Canada.

John Brom is resigning as interim COO of AeroMechanical Services Ltd. (TSXV:AMA) effective Oct. 9. Brom, who has held the position of interim COO since November 2007, is leaving to pursue other interests. His responsibilities now will be shared among the senior management team. AMA provides proprietary technology that allows airlines to monitor and manage aircraft operations anywhere in real time. Its head office is in Calgary.

TVI Pacific Inc. (TSX:TVI) has promoted Queenie Lung, CA, to CFO. Lung, previously controller of the company, has been employed with TVI since 2007. TVI Pacific is a Calgary-based mining company focused on precious and base metals in the Philippines. The company's interest in its Philippine assets is held through TVI Resource Development (Phils.) Ltd.

The Canada School of Energy and Environment (CSEE) has appointed Bruce Carson, a former senior adviser to the prime minister, as its first executive director. Carson has worked in politics for the better part of two decades. CSEE is a research and education collaboration involving the University of Alberta, the University of Calgary and the University of Lethbridge. Its mandate is to create and advance research and teaching programs related to the need to balance sustainable energy development and environmental management. The federal government has identified the CSEE as one of Canada's centres of research excellence and commercialization.

Hanchar brings 15 years of communications and marketing experience, most recently as media marketing manager for the Calgary Stampede.
