Toromont Industries Ltd. (TSX:TIH) has appointed Garry Mihaichuk as president and CEO of its wholly owned subsidiary, Toromont Energy Systems Inc. Mihaichuk is expected to assume his responsibilities in mid-November.
Mihaichuk most recently served as VP of a Canadian-based integrated energy and energy-related public company.
Toromont Industries operates through two business segments: The equipment group and the compression group. Its head office is in Concord.

Schara was most recently CFO of Minera Andes Inc., a TSX-listed development-stage mining company.
Vic Bradley, founder of Nevoro, will step aside as president and CEO, but remain on the board.

Critical Mass, part of the Omnicom Group, has named John Stichweh as senior VP and general manager. He was most recently director of global interactive marketing at the Coca-Cola Co.

Internet broadcaster JumpTV (TSX:JTV) has appointed former EBay Canada general manager Jordan Banks as its new chief executive. JumpTV said that Banks, a former legal executive with the National Hockey League Players’ Association, will take over Nov. 12.
The company will shift current chairman and CEO Scott Paterson to the role of executive chairman as Banks joins the team. Kaleil Isaza Tuzman, JumpTV’s president and COO, plans to leave the company Jan. 8 but will will remain on its board of directors and help Banks transition to the new job.

Wi-LAN Inc. (TSX:WIN) has added four new members to its management team: Derek Nuhn, Prashant Watchmaker, Robert Wu and Pia Diaconescu.
Nuhn joins Wi-LAN as VP for DSL technologies. He was formerly senior VP and COO of Semiconductor Insights.
Watchmaker comes from the Canadian Payments Association, where he was legal counsel. He joins Wi-LAN as assistant general counsel and corporate secretary.
Wu joins as director of research and technology development. Wu comes with more than 20 years’ experience working in wireless technologies and IP generation.
Diaconescu joins Wi-LAN as senior patent manager. She was most recently senior patent manager at Alcatel-Lucent.
Wi-LAN, founded in 1992, licenses intellectual property that drives a range of products providing access in wireless and wireline telecommunications markets. Its head office is in Ottawa.

Dundee Precious Metals Inc. (TSX:DPM, DPM.WT) has named Stephanie Anderson as executive VP and CFO.
Anderson brings more than 20 years’ experience in the mining industry, including a range of senior roles with Inco. She was most recently VP and treasurer.
Anderson’s appointment is the final stage in a succession process initiated last year when Bruce Burton, the current CFO, indicated his intention to retire in late 2007. He will continue to work on selected consulting assignments.
