Paul Austin is the new vice-president of marketing for Sonic Environmental Solutions Inc. (TSXV:SNV).

Austin will be spearheading the development of new markets for the Vancouver-based company’s mobile solution for the remediation of PCB-contaminated soils.

Barker Minerals Ltd. (TSXV:BML) of Langley has appointed Robert E. Condon as its new chief financial officer. He replaces Mark Brown.

Most recently, Condon was the CFO of Black Bull Resources Inc. until August 2004, where he continues to serve as a director of the board.

Fincentric Corp. has appointed David Fleming as its vice-president of products and services.

Fleming will be responsible for defining the technical direction of Fincentric’s products and professional services teams.

He comes from World Gaming PLC, where he held a board director and chief technology officer position.

Vancouver-based Fincentric provides core retail banking and customer value-management software to the financial services industry.

Don Monsour has been reappointed chair of the British Columbia Culinary Tourism Society (BCCTS).

Monsour has guided the BCCTS from its inception in 2001.

Geoffrey Howes, chair of the British Columbia Restaurant and Foodservices Association, was appointed first vice-chair.

Rounding out the BCCTS executive are Deirdre Campbell (Tartan Public Relations), Jason McRobbie (BC Restaurant News), Marcus VonAlbrecht (BC Chefs’ Association) and Wendy Taylor (Planit Network Event Planning).

Chris Bradbrook has taken the helm at DRC Resources Corp.

The new president and chief executive officer was most recently VP of corporate development for Goldcorp Inc.

Bradbrook succeeds John H. Kruzick, founder of the company in 1980, who has been appointed chairman of the board.

DRC’s main focus is the exploration and development of its wholly owned Afton Copper-Gold Project 10 kilometres west of Kamloops.

The Greater Vancouver Home Builders’ Association (GVHBA) has a new executive. Gary Friend of Surrey-based South Ridge Developments Ltd. is the GVHBA’s president for 2004-2005.

Also elected to the GVHBA executive committee were first VP Chuck Marr, Genstar Development Co., Burnaby; second VP Dale Barron, Morningstar Homes Ltd., Coquitlam; and secretary/treasurer John Harris, Ellis Foster Chartered Accountants, Vancouver.

The GVHBA is comprised of 453 companies representing developers, builders, renovators, sub-contractors, suppliers, manufacturers and professionals.

Mike Koziol has become Alto Ventures Ltd.’s vice-president of exploration.

Koziol is a geologist with 26 years of experience exploring for gold and base metals in the Canadian Shield.

He will manage Alto’s exploration programs from the Sudbury-based field office that will open on Nov. 1.

Alto (TSXV:ATV) is an exploration and development company with a portfolio of gold properties in Eastern Canada.
