On March 17, Executive Forum Alberta, a new company focused on bringing world-class leadership speakers to Calgary, is hosting Dr. Roch Parayre, a Senior Partner and scenario-planning expert with Decision Strategies International Inc., who will speak on Common Decision Traps and How to Avoid Them.
"Making sense out of weak signals is increasingly important in a world of uncertainty," says Parayre, a Canadian and Senior Fellow in the Mack Center for Technological Innovation at the Wharton School who has shared his expertise in decision making, scenario planning, and innovative strategy on four continents.
Parayre will challenge you to:
* Avoid or overcome typical decision-making errors;
* Assess the degree of uncertainty in individual problems;
* Recognize when you have enough appropriate information or when you need to know more;
* Structure complex challenges to ensure you are addressing the proper issues; and
* Involve the right people at the right time in the right way.
The March 17 event at the TELUS Convention Centre begins with breakfast at 8:00 a.m., and Parayre's presentation will run from 8:30 - 11:30.
