Petromin Resources Ltd. (TSXV:PTR), a petroleum and natural gas exploration and production company, has appointed a new CEO and acting CFO. Ross Gorrell replaces Kenny Chan, who has resigned those two positions for personal reasons. Chan will continue to serve as non-executive co-chairman and as a director. Wu replaces Sam Chung, who has resigned for personal reasons but will continue to be available in an advisory capacity to assist with the transfer. Wu is currently the CEO of SMS's subsidiary, Hunchun VAS Technology Co. Ltd. Yangtze conducts its business via two operating subsidiaries - NBC Co. Ltd. based in Mongolia and Hunchun based in China. Augusta Resource Corp. (TSX, AMEX: AZC) has promoted Raghu Reddy to the position of CFO. He had served as the VP of finance for the past year. Reddy replaces Bruce Nicol, who has resigned to pursue other interests. In addition, Tracey Brix-Nielsen has been appointed treasurer of the company. Brix-Nielsen has been Augusta's corporate controller since August 2006 and will now fill both roles.
Augusta has also promoted Mark Stevens to the position of VP of exploration. Stevens had been the company's chief geologist for two years. Stevens replaces Michael Clarke, who is leaving to continue his past work in global grassroots exploration programs. Headquartered in Vancouver, Augusta is a base-metals company focused on the Rosemont copper deposit in Arizona.

Inca Pacific Resources Inc. (TSXV:IPR) has brought in mining industry veteran James Rothwell as president and CEO effective Jan. 1. Rothwell will succeed Anthony Floyd, who moves to the position of chairman of the board. Rothwell brings more than 35 years' experience in the mining industry. Inca Pacific is a Vancouver-based resource exploration company with a focus on copper and molybdenum projects in Peru.

The company says Barker brings four decades of experience worldwide, with 27 years in exploration and acquisition leadership. Based in Vancouver, Evolving Gold has properties in Wyoming and Nevada.

NovaGold Resources Inc. (TSX:NG) has accepted the resignation of Carl Gagnier as VP of operations effective Dec. 31. The departure comes as the company says it has been unable to raise new money while falling short of state regulatory requirements at the Rock Creek mine in Alaska. It continues to "review strategic alternatives.”
Vancouver-based NovaGold also has joint ventures with Barrick Gold in Alaska and Teck Cominco in B.C.

Myers brings 25 years of experience in the base- and precious-metal resource industry, while Findlay, a specialist in platinum group metals and nickel, brings 20 years of industry experience.
