Tactex Controls Inc. (TSXV:TTX) has promoted David Lokhorst to the positions of president and CEO. Lokhorst takes over from Robert Inkster, who becomes executive chairman of the board and will continue in an executive role with the firm.
Lokhorst joined Tactex in 1999. Tactex Controls Inc. of Victoria sells pressure-sensing fibreoptic technology that enables OEM products and intelligent systems.
Finning International Inc. (TSX:FTT) has named Michael Waites as the company's new chief financial officer and executive vice-president. Waites, currently chief financial officer at Canadian Pacific Railway and a former member of the Finning board of directors, will take over his new job May 1. Vancouver-based Finning is one of the world's largest Caterpillar equipment dealers.
Jim Lincoln has joined Fronteer Development Group Inc. (TSX, AMEX: FRG) as VP of operations. Fronteer says Lincoln has participated in more than 15 feasibility and development-stage projects.
Fronteer is a discovery-stage exploration company focused on precious and strategic metals. Its corporate office is in Vancouver.
Polaris Minerals Corp. (TSX:PLS) has appointed Lisa Dea as VP of finance and CFO, effective May 1.
Dea has been company controller since October 2005. She succeeds Harry Sutherland, who is retiring. Sutherland will retain his seat on the boards of directors of Polaris's principal operating subsidiaries.
Based in Vancouver, Polaris develops construction aggregate resources in B.C. for marine transport to markets on the West Coast.
Rossland's Red Resort has hired resort-industry veteran Erik Kalacis as VP of sales and marketing. Kalacis most recently served as director of sales and partnerships at Grouse Mountain Resorts.
Wavefire.com Inc. (TSXV:WAF.A) has appointed Charles (Bill) Baker as president and a director. Martin Harwood, VP of research and development and a director, has resigned from the company.
