Five Calgary companies have been named to Deloitte and Touche’s third annual Canadian Technology Fast 50 and Shooting Star programs.
The former is a ranking of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in Canada based on the percentage of growth in revenue from 1995-1999. The latter, a new category, recognizes technology companies that are experiencing rapid growth, have been in business for a minimum of three years, and began earning revenue in excess of $75,000 after 1997.
In the Fast 50 category, FinTech Services Ltd. (2456.89 per cent) came in at No. 12; DiscoverWare Inc. (1892.56 per cent) at No. 18; and Applied Terravision Systems Inc. (710.88 per cent) at No. 42.
In the Shooting Star category, Big Picture Technologies (1924.35 per cent) came in at No. 3 while Quorum Information Systems Inc. placed 10th.
