Four new consultants have been added to the ranks at Canadian Career Partners (CCP), based in Calgary.
The human-resources and business-consulting company has hired Pam Corbett, who brings 10 years of career- management experience – most recently in competency management consulting with Smartforce.
It has also brought Kim Bechtel over from the City of Calgary, where he was a senior HR manager.
Also joining the firm is Mike Kelly, who will head up executive coaching practice after six years as owner and president of Performance Coaches Inc.
Richard Bucher comes to CCP from the Workers’ Compensation Board of British Columbia.
As well, the company recently hired Cat Hackman as marketing and communications manager. Hackman was previously corporate communications manager
Greg Hirtle is the new chief financial officer for Synodon Inc. in Edmonton.
Hirtle has more than two decades of experience in accounting and finance, including his previous role as CFO of Dragon Performance Coatings Ltd. in Edmonton.
Synodon Inc is a private company developing an advanced natural gas pipeline leak detection system called realSens.
Calgary-based Tiberon Minerals Ltd. has appointed Michael Walter to the post of vice-president of operations.
Walter has 25 years of experience in mine development and operations, most recently as project director and chief engineer of the Geoscience Centre in The Hague for Billiton International Metals, later BHP-Billiton.

5 by 5 Software Ventures Ltd.has hired R.W. (Bob) Tretiak as a contract consultant.
Tretiak is the former president, founder and CEO of Applied Terravision Systems. His tasks will include market assessment, strategic positioning and creating a board of directors for the firm.
Jean Cote has resigned as president of ILI Technologies (2002) Corp. He will be replaced by Ken Cameron, who has extensive experience in the petroleum business.
ILI Technologies (IKI-TSXV) is a high-technology corporation that develops, manufactures and markets IT solutions.
Cinch Energy Corp. has a new president.
George Ongyerth was most recently president of Hunt Oil Company of Canada, Inc., a privately held exploration company. He was vice-president, exploration from 1995 to 2001 at Newport Petroleum, which was acquired by Hunt Oil, prior to his role as president.
Cinch also made two other management appointments:
Nick Antonenko has been appointed VP, production operations. He was most recently VP, production operations at Northstar Energy Corporation.
Guenter Borchert joins as drilling manager, bringing with him 20 years of drilling experience for major petroleum companies.
