Global Thermoelectric Inc. has named Brian Borglum to the position of chief technology officer and vice-president.

Borglum has served as director of advanced materials with the Calgary-based fuel-cell developer (GLE-TSX) since July 2001 Prior to that, he held senior roles with Siemens Westinghouse.

Global has also promoted Eric Neary to the post of vice-president of engineering. Neary has been the company’s director of engineering since March and prior to that worked with fuel-cell developer Ballard Power Systems.

Donna Pincott

Donna Pincott has been appointed public relations vice-president for the Canadian arm of TMP Worldwide Inc., which acquired FWJ Advertising – Public Relations of Calgary last year.

Pincott, who will be based in Calgary, will lead TMP’s Canadian public relations team. She brings more than
18 years of experience including senior roles with the Canadian Venture Exchange, Bell Canada Enterprises and TELUS Corporation.

New York-based TMP Worldwide, which operates the Internet career portal Monster, has more than 10,000 employees in 33
countries.

Jan Schoningh is the new general manager of The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.

The Netherlands native, who came to Canada in 1994, replaces general manager Kevin Toth, who has moved to The Fairmont Chateau Whistler in B.C.

Schoningh was most recently general manager of The Fairmont Glitter Bay and The Fairmont Royal Pavilion in Barbados and
previously held management roles at hotels in the Fairmont chain as well as the Walt Disney Company.

Chris Heatherington has been tapped to lead the creative department of Palmer Jarvis DDB’s Edmonton office.

Heatherington was most recently the creative director and general manager of Young & Rubicam in Vancouver. Prior to that, he ran his own agency in Calgary.

CCS Income Trust has named Marshall McRae as chief financial officer.

McRae has 20 years of senior management experience, most recently with Northridge Canada, where he was vice-president of business development.

CCS Energy (CCR.UN-TSX) is Calgary-based energy service that offers crude oil treatment, terminaling and storage in Western Canada. CCS also provides treatment, recovery and disposal solutions for oilfield byproducts.

Brian Taschuk has been appointed vice-president and chief operating officer of Hammer Equipment Sales Limited.

Taschuk has 25 years experience in the industry, most recently as general manager of Hammer.

The company is a distributor of construction, mining, forestry and agricultural machinery, parts and service across the province.

Leanne Bannon is the new general manager of the Calgary office of Thinkinc Communications, an Alberta-based marketing communications agency.

Bannon will retain her role as president of The Project Partners, a Calgary-based firm which is working with Thinkinc on a number of ventures.

Thinkinc president Traci Elekes, meanwhile, is moving to Edmonton to focus on expanding the northern Alberta office.
She will continue to oversee business developments in Calgary.

Nelson Armstrong has been appointed to the position of executive director, Internet Technology Services (ITS), for Pangaea Systems Inc.

Nelson has held the position of managing director in both the Edmonton and Calgary branches of Pangaea.

He will provide the strategy and leadership for Pangaea’s ITS business unit in all four of Pangaea’s branch offices in Western Canada.

Pangaea Systems is an integrated business solutions provider.

Alan V. Vaughan has been appointed to the position of vice-president for the Northern Property Real Estate Investment Trust.

Vaughan has lengthy experience in government and business in Northern Canada and will work with the corporate housing outsourcing program, corporate affairs and investor relations.
