Gold-Ore Resources Ltd. (TSXV:GOZ) has appointed Bob Powers as vice-president of mining. Powers is a mining engineer with 30 years of experience. Gold-Ore is a Vancouver-based mining and exploration company with one operating gold mine and various exploration properties, all in Sweden.

Kirk was most recently VP finance/controller of the North American business unit of Dollar Finance Group Inc. Hillsborough is a Vancouver-based coal-mining company focused on British Columbia.
• • • International Water-Guard Industries Inc. (TSXV: IWG) has named Brian Ulrich to the position of VP of engineering. The company says Ulrich brings an extensive background in project and product management. International Water-Guard is a Burnaby aerospace company focusing on potable water treatment for aircraft and full water-system services.
• • • William Filtness has resigned as CFO of NEMI Northern Energy & Mining Inc. (TSX:NNE) due to time constraints. He has been replaced by Matthew Kavanagh, who was most recently CFO for the Minco Mining Group of Companies. NEMI is a junior mining company with corporate office in Vancouver.
• • • Kent Exploration Inc. (TSXV:KEX) has appointed Minaz Dhanani as its CFO. Dhanani has been employed for the past three years in an accounting role with a number of TSXV-listed companies. He replaces acting CFO Marvin Mitchell, who continues as a director of the Burnaby-based Kent and its qualified person. Kent is a junior exploration company active in three western U.S. states.

Brad Marchant continues to serve in the role of CEO. Kratochvil previously served as BioteQ's VP of projects. BioteQ is headquartered in Vancouver.

• • • Rusoro Mining Ltd. (TSXV:RML) has engaged Corey Allen as its COO. Allen was most recently mill and metallurgical operations manager overseeing the engineering and project development for a mine in Ecuador. Vancouver-based Rusoro is an advanced junior gold producer active in Bolivar State, Venezuela.
• • • Underworld Resources Inc. (TSXV:UW) has recruited Jason Cunliffe, P.Geo., as VP of exploration and Cale Moodie, CA, to the position of CFO. Prior to joining the Vancouver company, Cunliffe served as South American exploration manager with Hochschild Mining PLC, while Moodie served as the CFO for Sierra Geothermal Power Corp. Underworld Resources is a junior exploration company with projects in New Zealand and the Yukon Territory.

For the last eight years he has been associated with Fairfield Resources International and served as a consultant for the United States Department of Energy. Peachland-based Zeox sells technological products to industry.
• • • SNS Silver Corp. (TSXV:SNS) has hired Thomas Fudge as VP of operations. Fudge was formerly the president and COO of Concentric Energy. SNS is an exploration mining company whose primary asset is the Crescent Mine in Idaho. Its head office is in Vancouver.
• • • Lululemon Athletica Inc. (TSX:LLL) has named a former Starbucks executive to its management team. Christine Day becomes the executive VP of retail operations for the Vancouver-based clothing retailer. Day spent more than 20 years at Starbucks. In other company moves, COO Mike Tattersfield has been named executive VP of retail logistics and sourcing.
• • • Peak Gold Ltd. (TSXV:PIK) says Robert Gallagher, formerly of Newmont Mining Corp., will become its new president and chief executive in February. He will replace Julio Carvalho, who will continue as a director and special adviser on Latin American matters at Peak Gold. Peak Gold is a new intermediate gold producer based in Vancouver.
• • • Intrawest ULC, best known for its Whistler Blackcomb ski resort in B.C., has named resort industry veteran Bill Jensen as its new CEO as of June 1. Jensen will replace Alex Wasilov, who will return to the Intrawest board as a director. Jensen was previously president of the mountain division at Vail Resorts. Vancouver-based Intrawest also has appointed Mara Pagotto to the newly created position of chief people officer. Most recently, she served as VP of human resources supporting American Express global business travel services. In 2006, U.S. private-equity firm Fortress Investment Group LLC paid US$2.76 billion in cash and debt for Intrawest's network of resorts.
• • • Endeavour Silver Corp. (TSX:EDR, AMEX:EXK) has appointed Bill Franklin, CGA, to the position of CFO. Franklin replaces John Watkins, who is resigning for family reasons. Until recently, Franklin was CFO for Nevada Pacific Gold, which was taken over by US Gold this past year. Endeavour is a small-cap silver mining company with projects in Mexico. Its head office is in Vancouver.
• • • Petaquilla Copper Ltd. (TSX:PTC) has appointed Joao Manuel to the position of CFO, replacing interim CFO Tony Ricci. Ricci will continue in an advisory capacity. Manuel previously worked for Inapa S.A. Petaquilla is a mineral exploration firm headquartered in Vancouver.
• • • Redcorp Ventures Ltd. (TSX:RDV) has engaged Gordon McKnight as VP of sales and marketing. Since 2003 McKnight has acted as a consultant for mining companies in the areas of base-metal sales and marketing. Redcorp is a Vancouver-based mineral exploration and development company with active projects in Canada and Portugal.
• • • Strathmore Minerals Corp. (TSXV:STM) has made senior internal management changes as it transitions to an operating mining company. Dev Randhawa is stepping down as CEO, but will continue his role as chairman. Strathmore's former president and COO, David Miller, becomes CEO. Steven Khan, formerly VP of corporate development, has been promoted to president. John DeJoia becomes VP of New Mexico operations and James Crouch has been promoted to VP of Wyoming operations. Strathmore's primary efforts continue in the Gas Hills uranium district of Wyoming and at the Roca Honda deposit in New Mexico. The company's head office is in Kelowna.
• • • Opal Energy Corp. (TSXV:OPA), which is developing Texas onshore natural gas resources, has named Ron Oligney as chairman, turning the CEO's job over to Tommy Bolin. Bolin has been COO of subsidiary Opal Energy Inc., or OEI. Among other changes, recently appointed CFO Bruce Huff has assumed full responsibility for financial matters of the company while Bradley Aelicks has quit as VP of corporate finance. The company has also promoted Rick Ysa as COO of OEI; Stephen Hoover as senior VP for exploration at OEI; Jesse Allen as VP of engineering of OEI; and Don Squyres as VP of international exploration of OEI. Opal Energy Corp. is headquartered in Vancouver. The main hub of Opal operations is in Katy, Tex.
