Jason Zuback, the one-man show that is Golfzilla Promotions, is a 32-year-old who can turn his 245-lb. frame into a machine that, with the help of only a golf club, can smack a ball 400 yards.

In business, he has leveraged his phenomenal skill with a golf club into a six-figure enterprise.

Zuback has been called “the best long-driver that ever lived,” having won four consecutive world long-drive championships. He generates golf club-head speeds exceeding 250 km/h. Golf balls have been clocked leaving his clubface at 340 km/h.

They call him Golfzilla, and Alberta native Jason Zuback’s 340 km/h monster drives – sometimes through thick phone directories – are legendary in the golfing world.

He also makes appearances at about 75 corporate and charity events each year, where he performs stunts such as hitting golf balls well over 300 yards while standing on an exercise ball.

Today, Zuback’s sponsors include such big names as Pinnacle golf balls and King Cobra golf clubs.

When Zuback finally retires from the hectic job of flattening golf balls and returns to being a pharmacist – his original profession – he may well need some strong medicine. His fingers, back, shoulders and joints are showing wear after so many years of stress, and long-term physical impairment is a real risk in his business.
