Michael Grandin has handed over the reins of the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. He is returning full time to the Fording Canadian Coal Trust as chair and CEO.
Grandin will have a formal advisory role until March 2006, and informally after that date. Vern Jones, currently the vice-dean of the school, has been named acting dean.

Madeline Sarafinchan is the Edmonton Real Estate Board's new president for the 2006 term, succeeding Jim Kulak. An EREB director since 2002, Sarafinchan has sold real estate in Edmonton for more than 10 years and is the broker and managing partner of Jayman Realty (Edm) Inc.
The EREB provides support to realtors, and offers education and special events.
