Peter Ballachey has been appointed the chief financial officer of RailPower Technologies Corp. (TSXV:P).

Ballachey, a former BC Rail CFO and 15-year railroad industry senior executive, succeeds Alain Voisin, who was appointed controller and continues as corporate secretary.

Ballachey, who has worked at RailPower for the past year, was previously its director of finance.

North Vancouver-based RailPower produces hybrid locomotives for railyard shunting.

Mobile Data Solutions (TSX: MMD, Nasdaq: MDSI) has named Neil McDonnell its chief operating officer. McDonnell will be responsible for MDSI’s worldwide sales, marketing and operations.

McDonnell has been MDSI’s senior VP for sales and operations for the Americas and Asia since January.

Headquartered in Richmond, MDSI provides mobile workforce management software.

Far West Mining Ltd. (TSXV:FWM) has a new chief financial officer. Iain MacPhail comes from another junior resource company where he was also the CFO.

MacPhail replaces J. Frank Bradley, who is retiring. However, Bradley will remain as company secretary for the foreseeable future, the company said.

Far West is a natural resource company currently engaged in the evaluation, acquisition, exploration and development of mining properties.

MDX Medical Inc. (TSXV: MDX) has made some management changes.

Mark Thomson succeeds Barry Allen as president and director of MDX. Thomson was formerly VP of business development and marketing.

Allen will continue as chairman of the board of directors.

Reporting to Thomson in their new positions as chief financial officer and product manager of AVID system operations, respectively, are Kevin Leong and Lindsay Wood.

Leong is replacing departing CFO Jeremy Teraoka, who has resigned to pursue other business opportunities. Leong has 18 years of experience working with various companies in the public and private sectors.

Lindsay Wood is the former software team leader.

MDX commercializes medical-device technologies for improved diagnosis and treatment of life-threatening diseases.

There are new faces at the helm of Wealth Minerals Ltd.

Rosie Moore is now president and Jon Lever the new CFO. Former president Gary Freeman will continue to actively serve Wealth as VP of corporate development.

Moore resigned her recent position as VP of corporate development with Bear Creek Mining to join Wealth.

Lever is the president of Lever Capital Corp., a private company providing financial and operations management, and regulatory and internal financial reporting for public companies.
