Mamdani, who joined PH&N in 1998, maintains his responsibilities within the Vancouver-based firm's fixed income department.

Indicator Minerals Inc. (TSXV:IME) has appointed Stuart Peterson, CA, as its new chief financial officer. He replaces Sean Mager, who will remain on the board of directors.
Peterson comes from PROACT Chartered Accountants, where he has been principal.
Indicator is a Vancouver-based exploration company focused on the discovery of economic diamond deposits.
Canaccord Capital Inc. (TSX:CCI) has set in motion a succession plan that will see chairman and chief executive Peter Brown shed his executive role and become non-executive chairman by the company's annual meeting next year.
Brown, who turns 65 later this year, said the time has come to make way for "the people in the company who have earned the right to take the firm the next step."
As part of the plan, Michael Greenwood has relinquished his roles as president and chief operating officer, and signed a one-year consulting contract with the Vancouver brokerage and wealth manager.
Paul Reynolds, a Canaccord director and global head of Canaccord Adams, its investment banking unit, has been promoted to president.
Meanwhile, Mark Maybank, deputy head of Canaccord Adams and global head of research and operations, becomes COO.
The change in leadership comes as the financial services firm reported strong quarterly results.

NaiKun Wind Development Inc., proponent of the world's largest offshore wind project in B.C.'s Hecate Strait, has named Ray Castelli as its new president effective Oct. 9. Castelli was elected to the NaiKun board of directors in September 2005.
Michael Burns, the current president and vice-chairman, assumes the position of chairman of the board.
Castelli was most recently senior vice-president of Quadrem.
