Doris Gnandt has joined Odlum Brown Limited as vice-president of sales and service.

Gnandt brings more than 17 years of experience in the investment and financial industries, most recently in senior roles with Charles Schwab Canada and ScotiaMcLeod.

Doris Meyer is the new president and chief executive of Vancouver-based Kalimantan Gold Corp. (KLG-TSXV).

Meyer, currently the company’s executive chairman, joined the firm in 1997 and later became chief financial officer. She replaces CEO Rahman Connelly, who was based in Australia. He will remain on the board of directors.

Karl-Axel Waplan has been named executive VP of operations with Vancouver-based South Atlantic Ventures Ltd. (SAA-TSXV).

Waplan will manage the operations of the company as it takes over the Zinkgruvan zinc mine in Sweden from Rio Tinto.

He has more than 25 years of experience in mine management, financing, marketing and sales.

Sonic Environmental Solutions (SNV-TSXV) has appointed Wes Young as its vice-president of engineering and construction.

Young has nearly three decades of experience in the design, construction and operation of environmental and industrial processes with companies including WYPRO Engineering Services Ltd., Fluor Daniel Wright Ltd. and Earth Sciences Extraction Company.

David Stone has stepped down after seven years as president of Kensington Resources Ltd. He will remain on the board and help choose his successor.

The Victoria-based junior diamond producer (KRT-TSXV) will be run by the board of directors until a replacement is found.

Maynard has more than 20 years of project development and management experience in North, Central and South America as well as Eastern Europe.

David Fox is the new president and CEO of Burnaby-based International Water-Guard Industries Inc.

He replaces Bill Coote, who will continue to work with the company (IWG-TSXV) as an adviser and board member.

Fox has extensive experience in the business development and aerospace sectors.

IWG provides water-treatment services to aviation, industrial/commercial and residential customers around the world.
