Blue Parrot Energy Inc. (TSXV:BPA) says Bill Elligson has resigned as president, citing health reasons. Blue Parrot, which lost $192,500 on revenue of $976,200 in its latest reported quarter, said Paul Patton has been named interim chief executive officer. The junior explorer, in the midst of a restructuring, also said Robert Verbuck has resigned as corporate secretary "to focus on legal matters related to the restructuring.”

Blue Parrot is an oil and natural gas exploration, development and production company based in Calgary.

• • • Ithaca Energy Inc. (TSXV:IAE), which owns oil and gas exploration and development assets in the British North Sea, has named Iain McKendrick as chief operating officer. McKendrick has spent his entire career in the energy industry, since 1991 with the Total group of companies. A lawyer by profession, he will be based in Scotland. The Calgary company also announced that Brad Gunn is resigning as CFO and director to return to Canada. While the company is seeking a replacement, chairman John Summers will serve as interim CFO. Gunn has agreed to provide consulting services on an as-needed basis to facilitate the transition.

• • • Eaglewood Energy Inc. (TSXV:EWD) has appointed Michael McGowan as COO. He comes with 22 years of upstream international oil and gas experience with British Petroleum, Santos Ltd. and Oil Search Ltd. Calgary-based Eaglewood has an exploration portfolio in Papua New Guinea.

• • • XS Cargo Income Fund (TSX:XSC.UN) says Butch Agnew, who was to be assuming the role of CFO, has resigned his position and will be leaving the fund to pursue another opportunity. For the interim period the company will retain the services of external accountants on a consulting basis. The fund owns a 51-per-cent indirect interest in XS Cargo LP, which operates 40 closeout retail stores across Canada. The fund's base is in Edmonton.

• • • Reece Energy Exploration Corp. (TSXV:RXR) has made some changes to its management team. Doug McKinnon has resigned from his positions of COO, VP of exploration and as a director to pursue other endeavours but will be available to consult on an as-needed basis. His duties have been assigned to existing staff, board members and management, while the COO position will remain vacant until a replacement is found. Reece is an oil and gas company headquartered in Medicine Hat.

• • • Royal Host Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX:RYL.UN) has made two senior appointments: Patrick Lambie becomes executive VP and Brad Cann becomes executive VP and CFO. Lambie has held various management positions with Royal Host, most recently VP and treasurer. Cann assumed the positions of VP and CFO in 2007. In addition, Joe Drummond has been promoted to the position of executive VP of hotel operations for the Calgary-based hotelier/trust. Royal Host is Canada's second-largest hotel real estate investment trust.

• • • AltaGas Income Trust (TSX:ALA.UN) has shuffled its executive suite, giving the job of president to Richard Alexander from David Cornhill, who remains as chairman and chief executive. Alexander, the former executive VP, COO and CFO of the Calgary company, will keep his title as COO. Meanwhile, Deborah Stein, the VP of finance, will also take on the role of CFO. David Wright has been named executive VP of strategy and corporate development, and Max Fantuz executive VP. AltaGas is an energy infrastructure organization.

• • • Turnkey E&P Inc. (TSX:TKY) says JohnY. Jo has resigned his position as COO. Turnkey is a drilling and completions contractor, and an independent oil and gas company focused on the continental U.S. Its head office is in Calgary.

• • • VP of sales and marketing Ron Markowski has left Titan Logix Corp. (TSXV:TLA). Edmonton-based Titan is an industrial instrumentation and controls company.

The University of Calgary has chosen a nationally prominent scientist to lead its Institute for Sustainable Energy, Environment and Economy (ISEEE). David Layzell will become executive director of ISEEE on July 1, succeeding interim director Warren Veale. Layzell is currently professor and Queen's research chair for a sustainable bioeconomy at Queen's University in Kingston. ISEEE works to find solutions to energy and environment challenges in collaboration with U of C faculties and schools and partners in industry, government and other sectors.

Calgary-based PetroGlobe has properties in Texas and Alberta, and through its subsidiary PetroGlobe (Canada) Ltd. is in the business of international oil and gas consulting.

(TSXV:SCS.A, SCS.B) has a new senior management team: Robert Goods, CEO; Colin Witwer, president and COO; Randy Denecky, VP finance and CFO; and Vincent Cuscheri, VP of exploration. Second Wave is a newly recapitalized junior oil and gas company focused on Alberta and southeastern Saskatchewan. Its head office is in Calgary.

• • • Garneau Inc. (TSX:GAR) says its executive VP and CFO is resigning effective March 31 to pursue a new opportunity in the housing industry. Frank Deys will assist in the search for his replacement. Garneau's primary business has been high-performance coating and linings for oil and gas pipeline protection. The Nisku company also designs and fabricates oilfield equipment. • • • Hill & Knowlton Canada has made a change in its Alberta offices. Ken Boessenkool, previously VP and general manager for Alberta, has been promoted to senior VP and national practice director, public affairs. Jane Savidant, founder of Result (now H&K Result), has agreed to take on the GM position for Calgary and Edmonton. With eight offices across the country, Hill & Knowlton is an integrated communications company.

• • • Acceleware Corp. (TSXV: AXE), a developer of high-performance computing applications, has appointed Shawn Lorenz as its VP of sales. Prior to joining Acceleware, Lorenz held executive and director-level positions with several companies. Accelware's head office is in Calgary.
