CML Healthcare Inc. and CML Healthcare Income Fund (TSX: CLC.UN) have appointed Cameron Duff to the new post of vice-president of corporate development. Duff was formerly senior VP for corporate development at Alderwoods Group Inc.

CML Healthcare Income Fund is an unincorporated open-ended trust that owns CML Haealthcare Inc., which provides laboratory testing services.

Manicouagan Minerals Inc. (TSXV:MAM) has appointed Joseph Baylis as president and CEO.

Baylis brings more than 22 years of domestic and international mining industry experience to the company, most recently as president and CEO of Olympus Pacific Minerals Inc. He succeeds Constantine Salamis, who will continue to serve as a board member and a consultant to the company.

Manicouagan Minerals is engaged in the exploration of the Manicouagan meteorite impact crater in central Quebec.

Canadian law firm McCarthy Tétrault has announced four key appointments to its management team.

Heidi Vesely is promoted to CFO. She has been with McCarthy Tétrault for 14 years, most recently as the Ontario region director of finance.

Jay Austin, who is promoted to chief information officer, joined the firm two years ago from a management consulting company.

Jacques Bisson is promoted to chief administrative officer. Bisson joined the firm eight years ago, and was most recently director of administration for the Quebec region.

Mike Nethercott joins as chief marketing officer. He brings more than 15 years' international marketing experience.

Joseph Flanagan has been named vice-president of order management at Nortel (TSX:NT). Flanagan comes to Nortel from GE.

Telecommunications equipment giant Nortel is based in Brampton.

Cisco Systems Canada has appointed Patrick Lance as vice-president of market development. Before joining Cisco, Lance was vice-president of marketing at Avaya Canada.

Cisco Systems Inc., an Internet networking company, has its Canadian head office in Toronto.

Cineplex Entertainment LP (TSX:CGX.UN) has appointed Heather Briant as senior VP for human resources, effective March 20. She joins Cineplex from Canadian Tire Corp. Ltd., where she was VP of corporate human resources.

Cineplex is the largest motion picture exhibitor in Canada. Its head office is in Toronto.

Texada Software Inc.(TSXV:TXS) has appointed Rob Beveridge as CFO. The company says he brings more than 20 years of financial and accounting experience to Texada, which provides asset management software primarily to the equipment rental industry. Its head office is in Guelph.

Coalcorp Mining Inc. (TSXV:CCJ) has appointed Jose Francisco Arata as executive VP of exploration and Juan Manuel Pelaez as VP of business development.

Coalcorp is a coal mining, exploration and development company with its head office in Toronto.

WorkGroup Designs Ltd. (TSXV:WGD) has appointed David Lewis as CFO. He has operated recently as a consultant to small business in the areas of accounting and treasury functions.

WGD is a professional services company that provides management and information technology consulting and software. Its head office is in Concord.

Stock exchange CNQ has named Richard Carleton as VP of corporate development and Robert Medland as CFO. The exchange said Carleton has been a consultant to several companies and the Investment Dealers Association, and previously held senior positions at the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Medland is a financial executive who has served as CFO for both private and public companies.

CNQ started operating July 2003 and was recognized by the Ontario Securities Commission as a stock exchange in May 2004.
