The Churchill Corp. (TSX:CUQ) has promoted David LeMay, formerly VP operations of CUQ's operating company Laird Electric Inc., to president and COO of Laird Electric. CUQ provides construction and maintenance services throughout Western Canada. It is headquartered in Edmonton.

Petrowest Energy Services Trust (TSX: PRW.UN) has a new president and CEO. Ralph Hesje also has been appointed to the board. Hesje's most recent experience was as president of a large public midstream energy-service provider. Petrowest provides pre-drilling and post-completion energy services to the northern region of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Its head office is in Grande Prairie.

Commercial Solutions Inc. (TSX:CSA), a Edmonton-based distributor of resource-management equipment products, has appointed Rozina Kassam as its CFO. Kassam succeeds Eric Sauze, who will focus on the COO position after holding both roles since Jan. 1. Kassam previously held controller positions with publicly traded entities. Commercial sells more than 160,000 items for maintenance repair and operations and original equipment manufacturer customers.

Ithaca Energy Inc. (TSXV:IAE), a Calgary-based company with assets in the U.K. North Sea, says Lawrence Payne has stepped down as CEO and assumed the role of executive chairman. Iain McKendrick takes over as CEO. McKendrick joined Ithaca in February 2008 as COO. He will work out of Ithaca's office in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Paramax Resources Ltd. (TSXV:PXM) has engaged CGA Charidy Lazorko as CFO. James Owen has resigned as an officer and director of the corporation. Paramax says that with these changes, it intends to continue to pursue oil and gas opportunities in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the United States. Its head office is in Calgary.

Veraz Petroleum Ltd. (CNSX:VRZ) has engaged Case Caulfield as VP of exploration. Caulfield was most recently VP of exploration for True Energy Trust. Veraz is a Calgary-based junior resource exploration company focused on international oil and gas activities.

Russell Oicle has joined True Energy Trust (TSX:TUI.UN) as VP of exploration. Oicle is a seasoned geologist with more than 30 years' experience in Western Canada. True Energy is an exploration and production oil and gas trust based in Calgary. It recently entered into a licence and joint-venture deal with Petrobank Energy to apply Petrobank's THAI heavy-oil recovery technology on a portion of True's Kerrobert property in Saskatchewan.

Mark Freedman, partner of Montreal-based accounting firm Roll Harris, has been appointed interim CFO of New Millennium Capital Corp. (TSXV:NML). He replaces Bill Almdal, who recently resigned due to health reasons. NML controls the emerging Millennium Iron Range in Eastern Canada, which holds one of the world's largest iron ore deposits. NML's corporate office is in Calgary.

One Exploration Inc. (TSXV:OE.A, OE.B) has added Darrel Zacharias to its executive team in the role of VP, exploration. Zacharias previously was a senior geologist with Rider Resources Ltd. One Ex is a Calgary-based oil and gas exploration and production company.

Eaglewood Energy Inc. (TSXVE:EWD) has appointed Brad Hurtubise as president and CEO. He replaces Hal Hemmerich, who continues to act as a director of Eaglewood. Hurtubise worked most recently at Tristone Capital. Eaglewood is an international oil and gas exploration company with properties in Papua New Guinea.

John Hogg has been promoted to the office of CEO of CMQ Resources Inc. (TSXV:NV).He had previously been VP of exploration since January 2004. Hogg replaces Martin Lambert, who has accepted the role of CEO for a firm outside the mining sector. Calgary-based CMQ is focused principally on two gold properties in Nevada.

Garneau Inc. (GAR:TSX) has named Terry Winnitoy as chief development officer. Prior to joining Garneau, Winnitoy was co-founder and VP of business development and sales for Builders Energy Services Trust, which merged with Essential Energy Services Trust earlier this year. Garneau's primary business is the application of coatings and linings for oil and gas pipeline protection. Nisku-based Garneau also designs and fabricates oilfield equipment.

Ricardo Montes has joined BrazAlta Resources Corp. (TSXV:BRX) as CFO. Until recently, Montes was CFO for Solana Resources Ltd. BrazAlta is a Calgary-based oil and gas corporation with operations in South America, Northern Ireland and Canada.

Craig Nieboer has become CFO of Canadian Energy Services Inc. (CESI), the general partner of the Canadian Energy Services L.P. (TSX:CEU.UN). Most recently Nieboer was CFO of BrazAlta Resources Corp. CESI designs and implements drilling fluid systems for the oil and natural gas industry. Its office is in Calgary.

Nexen Inc. (TSX, NYSE:NXY) will promote Kevin Reinhart to senior VP and CFO effective Jan. 1. He will succeed Marvin Romanow, who becomes president and CEO following the retirement of Charlie Fischer at the end of this year. Reinhart currently is senior VP of corporate planning and business development. Nexen is an independent, Calgary-based global energy company that has been the ongoing subject of takeover rumours by French energy giant Total SA.

Sea Dragon Energy Inc. (TSXV:SDX) has appointed Cameron Dow to the position of CFO. Most recently Dow was acting CFO with a TSX-listed oil and gas company with ops in the Middle East. Jeff Ratcliffe, Sea Dragon's previous CFO, becomes the company's financial controller. Sea Dragon is an international company with oil and gas interests in the Gulf of Suez. Its head office is in Calgary.

Grande Cache Coal Corp. (TSX:GCE) has hired Ian Bootle for the positions of VP finance and CFO. Most recently, Bootle was CFO of Innicor Subsurface Technologies Inc. Grande Cache Coal is a Calgary-based metallurgical coal-mining company active in west-central Alberta.
