WestJet Airlines says one of its original executives, vice-president of operations Tim Morgan, has left the discount carrier for "personal reasons."

Morgan joined Calgary-based WestJet (TSX:WJA) at its inception in 1995.

The three operating VPs who reported to Morgan will now report directly to CEO Clive Beddoe.

Baytex Energy Trust says Daniel Belot has resigned his position of vice-president and CFO with Baytex, effective Oct. 31, in order to pursue other business opportunities.

He will be replaced by Derek Aylesworth, who is currently the commercial manager of a South American business unit for a senior Canadian oil and gas company.

Calgary-based Baytex (TSX:BTE.UN) is an oil and gas income trust.

Thunder Energy Trust has appointed Brad Crowe as vice-president of land. A professional landman, Crowe was most recently a founding member of Stride Energy Ltd.

Calgary-based Thunder (TSX:THY.UN) is an oil and gas income trust with assets located in Western Canada.

Ember Resources Inc. (TSX:EBR) has made three additions to its management team. They are: Bruce Ryan, the new VP of finance and CFO, who has been involved in the North American oil and gas industry since 1985.

Thomas Zuorro, the new VP of land, who is a professional landman working most recently with Thunder Energy Inc.

Ken Ronaghan, VP of engineering, who has worked with a number of public oil and gas companies, most recently with Thunder Energy and Cypress Energy Inc.

Calgary-based Ember Resources Inc. (TSX:EBR) is a resource company specializing in coal-bed methane with land and resource holdings in Alberta.

Bradley Walker has been appointed to the role of VP of Bottom Line Productions.

While Walker will continue to act as a project manager for Bottom Line, he will also work toward the implementation of new initiatives. Walker rejoined Bottom Line in 2003 to open the company's Calgary office.

Bottom Line Productions is a Calgary- and Edmonton-based arts marketing firm.

CFO Tom Orysiuk will be leaving the Liquor Stores Income Fund effective Dec. 31 to assume a position with a private company in Edmonton.

Tom Thorvaldson, retired partner of Meyers Norris Penny, will assume the position of interim CFO while the fund searches for a permanent replacement.

Based in Edmonton, Liquor Stores Income Fund (TSX:LIQ.UN) operates 64 retail liquor stores in Alberta and five in British Columbia.

Brian Summerfelt has been promoted to vice-president of operations for Metropolitan Credit Adjusters Ltd. Summerfelt has been with Metropolitan for more than 13 years, and in that time has held a number of managerial positions.

Metropolitan is an accounts-receivable management firm, with its head office in Edmonton.

CHIP Hospitality has announced the appointment of Tim Ostrem as hotel manager for the Delta Edmonton South. Ostrem replaces Mark Medland, who is now CHIP's area general manager for Edmonton South.

Ostrem was previously the director of operations for The Westin Hotel, Edmonton since 2003.

CHIP Hospitality is the wholly owned management arm of CHIP REIT (Canadian Hotel Income Properties Real Estate Investment Trust - TSX:HOT.un, HOT.db), and is based in Vancouver.
