THE LEGACY CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION IS DEDICATED TO IMPROVING THE LIVES OF ABUSED, NEGLECTED, AND DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN.
It may be hard to believe, but in Alberta tens of thousands of children are abused, neglected or living in poverty.
Some have been victims of physical, emotional and sexual abuse; some have been abandoned or exploited; many are homeless; while others will suffer from the life long debilitating effects of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorders.
EACH OF THESE MAY BE PREVENTED.
Since 2003, The Legacy Children's Foundation and individuals, foundations and corporate donors that support Legacy have been helping these children live safer and happier lives. We continue to raise and provide funds to proven programs. Examples of programs we support include the Calgary Boys and Girls Club's Ready Set Go! Program, a pre-school enrichment program that prepares at-risk children for school and gives children a chance to pursue their dreams and build successful lives; and Spectrum Youth and Family Services Healthy Families Program designed to support young and expectant mothers cope with stressors related to parenting.

Through the generosity of committed philanthropists and donors, we are able to support at-risk children by partnering with this city's most progressive and proven agencies.
Support may simply be provided in the form of music lessons or access to a musical instrument through our "Gift of Music" Fund, or it could be the provision of funds to enable a deserving young person the chance to pursue his or her dreams of going to college or university.
