Robert Baxter has joined Norsemont Mining Inc. (TSXV:NOM) as president and director of Norsemont Mining and general manager of Norsemont Peru SAC.

The company says Marc Levy will continue as chief executive officer.

Baxter comes to Norsemont from Chariot Resources Ltd., where he was executive vice-president.

Norsemont Mining is an exploration company working in the Americas, with a focus on Peru. Its corporate office is in Vancouver.

Intrinsyc Software International, Inc. (TSX: ICS) has appointed Glenda Dorchak as CEO, succeeding Derek Spratt who becomes chairman of the board.

Dorchak comes from Intel Corp. with 30 years of experience in the technology industry. She also served as an independent director of Intrinsyc in 2004 and 2005.

Intrinsyc is a mobility software and services company headquartered in Vancouver.

Western Keltic Mines Inc. (TSXV:WKM) has made four senior staff appointments. They include: John Goyman, VP of construction and operations; Robin Johnstone, VP of environmental and government affairs; Mike Padula, manager of engineering; and Kimberley Horrocks, manager of environment and permitting.

Most recently, Goyman was operations manager at the Snap Lake Project in the N.W.T. for De Beers Canada Inc. Johnstone was most recently environmental affairs manager of N.W.T. projects for De Beers Canada.

Padula also previously worked for De Beers Canada on the Snap Lake Project, as did Horrocks in the role of regulatory permitting co-ordinator.

Robert Carrington has stepped down as the CEO of Gold Canyon Resources Inc. (TSXV:GCU) to be replaced by Akiko Levinson, who will assume the role of both president and acting CEO.

Carrington will remain a board member and consulting geologist to the company.

Vancouver-based Gold Canyon is engaged in the exploration of mineral and precious-metals properties.

VSM MedTech Inc. (TSX:VSM), which makes medical diagnostic devices, has appointed Paul Murdoch as president and CEO to replace Jack Price as part of company's restructuring program.

Murdoch has been with the company since 2004 as vice-president of customer services.

VSM MedTech is headquartered in Coquitlam.

Kristy Emery has been appointed director of policy and sustainability for the Association of Mineral Exploration BC (AME BC). In this role she will develop policies for the growth of B.C.'s mineral exploration and mining sector.

Prior to joining AME BC, Emery was manager for sustainability and Crown land co-ordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Lands.

The AME BC represents more than 3,700 members engaged in mineral exploration in B.C. and around the world.
