Maple Minerals Corp. (TSXV:MPM) says that Gino Falzone has resigned as president to pursue other endeavours. Sheldon Inwentash has been appointed CEO of Maple, in addition to his duties as chairman.

Stuart Taylor, the current vice-president of international operations, has been appointed president of Maple.

Maple is a Toronto-based resource company with property interests in Canada and around the globe.

Meanwhile, Pinetree Capital Ltd. says that Falzone has resigned as its secretary and vice-president of legal and corporate affairs. He also resigned as vice-president of legal and corporate affairs of Genevest Inc., an investment company wholly owned by Pinetree.

Pinetree is headquartered in Toronto.

Golf Town Income Fund (TSX:GLF.UN) of Markham has appointed Stephen Willwerth as vice-president of Golf Town's Business Pro Shop.

Willwerth is an entrepreneur who founded the Willwerth Group in 1986.

Golf Town's Business Pro Shop division handles all corporate sales, including logoed products, corporate products and incentives.

Intelcan Technosystems, which supplies aviation and air traffic-control technology, has named Paul Havey as chief executive officer and Zvi Glanz as executive vice'-president and chief operating officer.

Havey succeeds Mark Whittall, who will remain chairman, privately held Intelcan said. Havey joined Intelcan in 2004 as VP of finance and corporate development.

Glanz joined Ottawa-based Intelcan in 1988, and has been VP of operations.

Solar energy company Arise Technologies Corp. (TSXV:APV) has made several executive appointments.

Bruce West brings 25 years of financial, operating and senior executive experience to the post of president and COO. He was most recently VP and CFO for Canada at Sun Life Financial Inc.

Ian MacLellan will assume the new role of vice-chairman and will continue as CEO.

West will also become the company's interim CFO and corporate secretary. Kurt Werth, who has been the company's part-time interim CFO, will join the Arise advisory council and consult with a focus on M&A opportunities in the United States.

Chris Waters, who is manager of corporate development, will become vice-president of PV technology business development.

David Elzinga has been promoted to general manager of the systems division. He has been with Arise eight years.

Arise Technologies is dedicated to accelerating the use of solar energy in mainstream markets. Its head office is in Kitchener.

Canada's Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA) has named Rick Nathan as president of the association.

Nathan is managing director of Goodmans Venture Group, a division of Goodmans LLP, where he provides legal counsel and strategic business advice to entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies and to investors in the Canadian market. Founded in 1974, the CVCA represents Canada's venture capital and private equity industry.

Rothmans Inc. says that Michael Frater has been appointed finance VP and CFO of Rothmans, and finance and administration VP of its 60-per-cent-owned operating subsidiary Rothmans, Benson & Hedges Inc. (RBH). The appointments are effective Nov. 1. Frater has been with RBH for almost 10 years and is currently the finance director of RBH.

Rothmans' head office is in Toronto.

KCP Income Fund (TSX: KCP.UN) has announced the retirement of Roy Pearce as CFO.

The fund has named Randy Smallbone as executive VP for finance and CFO. Smallbone has spent the last seven years as CFO for Decoma International Inc.

KCP (operating as KIK Custom Products) is one of North America's largest custom manufacturers of consumer products in the laundry, household cleaners, over-the-counter medications, and health and beauty-care categories. Its headquarters are in Concord.

Canadian contract drug manufacturer Patheon Inc. has appointed Rodger Roden as its new chief financial officer and senior vice-president.

Roden replaces Ronald Mitchell, who quit in September.

Patheon, based in Mississauga, has suffered a series of side-effects from its $350'-million takeover last December of privately held Mova Pharmaceutical Corp. of Puerto Rico.

Tom Newell has been named VP for business and strategic planning. Newell is currently VP of operations and has been with the company for 11 years.

Wayne Macneall has been named vice-president of branch operations. Macneall has been with the company for 16 years and is currently district manager overseeing nearly half the company's branch network Stephenson's is a general tool and equipment rental company in Toronto and surrounding areas. Its head office is in Mississauga.

Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. said it has named John Galt as president and chief executive, replacing founder Robert Schad, 76.

Galt, with the company since 1985, has been most recently serving as chief operating officer and vice-president for operations.

Schad, who founded Husky in 1953, will continue to be a company director and adviser on technology development and strategy. Husky is a global supplier of injection moulding equipment and services to the plastics industry. Its head office is in Bolton.

Morguard Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX:MRT.UN) says its CEO, K. Rai Sahi, will become president effective Oct. 21.

He succeeds Bill Kennedy, who is leaving Morguard REIT to join a Vancouver-based private real estate group.

Morguard REIT is a closed-end real estate investment trust that owns 72 retail, office and industrial properties in Canada. Its head office is in Mississauga.

Sears Canada Inc. has appointed Alain Masse president and general manager of Cantrex Group Inc.

Masse, Cantrex's former national general manager of consumer electronics, photography and computers at the buying group, succeeds Claude Senechal, who is retiring after 33 years.

Cantrex is Canada's largest buying group for independent merchants in the furniture, appliances, electronics, floor covering and photography equipment sectors. Sears Canada purchased Cantrex and its wholly owned subsidiary, Corbeil Electrique Inc., in April.

Bennett Environmental Inc. says that a search has begun to replace Danny Ponn, VP of engineering and business development, who will be leaving effective Dec. 28.

Engineering manager Steve Flannery will assist company president and CEO Al Bulckaert on engineering matters on an interim basis.

Sino-Forest Corp. (TSX:TRE), a commercial forestry plantation operator in China, has appointed Dave Horsley as senior VP and CFO.

His predecessor, Kee Wong, is promoted to vice-chairman.

Sino-Forest, a Canadian company, is the largest commercial forestry plantations operator in China, with its executive office in Hong Kong and its administrative office in Mississauga.

Draxis Health Inc. (TSX:DAX, Nasdaq:DRAX) has named Dan Brazier to the newly created position of chief operating officer.

Brazier joined Draxis in 1998 and since June 2003 served as senior VP for corporate development and strategic planning.

Draxis Health, through its wholly owned operating subsidiary Draxis Specialty Pharmaceuticals Inc., provides products in three categories. Its head office is in Mississauga.
