DRC Resources Corp. (TSX:DRC; AMEX:DRJ) has appointed Paul Martin as chief financial officer and vice-president of finance. He will assume this role on or before May 19. Most recently Martin was CFO for Gabriel Resources Ltd.

Vancouver-based DRC is a mining company focused on the exploration and development of the Afton copper-gold project in the B.C. Interior.

Brandt Louie has been elected as Simon Fraser University's next chancellor. He succeeds Milton Wong, who will step down in June after serving two consecutive three-year terms.

Louie is president of H.Y. Louie and chairman and CEO of London Drugs Ltd. He will be installed at the fall convocation in October.

Cameron Hunter has resigned as president, CEO and director of Norsat International Inc.

The company has appointed Artour Baganov of Seattle as interim president while it searches for a successor to Hunter at the same time as it seeks a new chief financial officer.

Based in Burnaby, Norsat (TSX:NII, OTCBB:NSATF) designs, engineers and markets satellite products for high-speed data transmission.

Borrelly is a veteran business development specialist with more than 14 years of sales and marketing experience in the pharmaceutical sector. Vancouver-based First Venture is a biotechnology company that develops and commercializes advanced yeast products.
