Mel Baillie has been named president and chief executive officer of NetDriven Solutions Inc.

The appointment was effective March 1. Baillie has also been appointed to the board of directors. Ron Newman, former president and CEO, will continue as chairman of the board.

Baillie has more than 20 years of management experience in the telecom/data communications industry in Canada and internationally, most recently as vice-president and general manager, B.C., for Bell Intrigna. He has also held senior management positions with Northern Telecom. In addition to his experience with Nortel, he was also part of the Unitel Communications (now AT&T Canada Ltd.) senior management team.

NetDriven Solutions Inc. (NDS-TSE) is a service provider helping to meet the data storage needs of businesses. Headquartered in Calgary, NetDriven manages the storage and online delivery of more than 70 terabytes of exploration data for many major oil and gas companies.

Trinidad Drilling Ltd. has appointed Peter Gross as a director of the company. Gross has 40 years experience in the energy sector, both domestically and internationally. He is a director of Newstar Resources Inc., Cancoil Integrated Services Inc. and Jackal Energy Inc.

Trinidad announced the death last week of Adolph (Audie) Heier. Heier was a director and founding shareholder of the company.

Trinidad (TDG-TSE) is an energy services company that operates a fleet of oil and gas well drilling and service rigs with offices in Calgary and Lloydminster.

Dynegy Inc. (NYSE: DYN) announced that David Pope has been named president of Calgary-based Dynegy Canada. In this capacity, he will oversee Dynegy Canada’s marketing and trading of natural gas, crude oil, natural gas liquids, and electricity.

Before joining Dynegy, Pope was a vice-president at Enron for nine years, serving initially in Canada, and subsequently spent a five-year term in Europe.

Before Enron, David was founder and president of Canadian Gas Marketing, which was acquired by Enron in 1992. Pope holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from McGill University in Montreal.

International Petrodata Limited has announced two appointments to its senior management team. Frank Kluytmans joins the firm as its senior database administrator. He has 25 years of experience in software and database design, development and maintenance.

Jim Llewellyn has been named senior network administrator. He will be responsible for implementation and maintenance of IPL’s network infrastructure and for communications with clients and partners.

Colin Minty has resigned from ATI Airtest Technologies Inc.

Minty was the company vice-president, managing product sales from his Calgary office. ATI (AAT –CDNX) is based in Delta, B.C. and sells a line of air monitoring equipment. The company said that all Calgary sales with the exception of their mobile air-monitoring program, based in Red Deer, would now be handled from the company’s B.C. office.

Tom Brown, Inc. has hired Doug Harris as vice-president of operations. Harris has 25 years of industry experience, most recently as VP of production for Burlington Resources Canada in Calgary. He will be located in Denver, Colo.
