Regional carriers for Canada’s largest airline will now operate under the same banner – Air Canada Jazz.

The new look, brand and aircraft livery – unveiled last month in Toronto – will replace regional carriers AirBC, Air Nova, Air Ontario and Canadian Regional. The switch follows a consolidation process stemming from Air Canada’s takeover of rival Canadian Airlines nearly two years ago.

“Each of these carriers had strong brand awareness within their regions, and the new name reflects these qualities and acts as a metaphor for being youthful, vibrant, innovative, flexible and part of the local community,” said Air Canada Jazz president Joseph Randell.

Air Canada Jazz provides close to 800 flights each business day to 80 destinations in Canada and the United States. The new brand will be rolled out over a period of several months.
