Whyte was formerly manager of a major accounting firm and consultant to two technology companies.
Calgary-based UTI is a technology commercialization company that is wholly owned by the University of Calgary.
Innova Exploration Ltd. (TSX:IXL) has appointed Kelly D. Kerr to the positions of vice-president of finance and chief financial officer.
Prior to joining Innova, he served as VP of finance and CFO at Triquest Energy Corp. until it was sold in January of 2004.
Innova is a Canadian exploration, development and production company active in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
