John Proust has been named vice-president of corporate development for Navigator Exploration Corp., based in Vancouver.
Proust has advised public and private companies on debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring since 1986 through his company, Proust & Associates Inc. (NVR-TSXV).
He is a past president of Adobe Ventures Inc. and former president of Canada Talc Limited, an Ontario miner and processor of industrial minerals that was sold to Highwood Resources Ltd.
Mark Brown is the new chief financial officer of International Lima Resources Corp.
Brown brings considerable experience in the North American venture capital markets, most recently as president of Pacific Opportunity Company Ltd.
Previously, he managed the financial departments of Eldorado Gold Corp. and Miramar Mining Corp.
Pan American Silver Corp. has appointed Robert Doyle as chief financial officer. Doyle replaces Tony Hawkshaw, who has resigned from the Vancouver-based firm (PAA-TSX; PAAS-NASDAQ) to pursue other business opportunities.
Doyle has spent the last eight years at Standard Bank in New York, most recently as senior vice-president of mining finance and metals marketing.
Pan American operates three underground silver mines and one surface silver operation, and is actively working on feasibility evaluations of four new growth projects.
Everton Resources Inc. is making changes at the top. The Vancouver-based company (EVR- TSXV) has named Andre Audet as chief executive officer.
Audet has spent the past decade in the mining and venture capital industries and has been responsible for raising millions of dollars for public junior mining companies in Canada.
Douglas Perkins, meanwhile, is the new chief financial officer. He most recently was chief financial officer at Orezone Resources Inc. and has held senior financial roles in a number of public companies and the construction of six gold mines.
As well, consultant Marc L’Heureux has been named vice-president of exploration and acquisitions. He will be responsible for supervising the company's three joint ventures and new property acquisitions in the Dominican Republic.
Over the past 18 years, L’Heureux has been involved in designing, implementing and managing exploration and acquisition programs with several mining companies.
The company has also named Dwane Brosseau as manager of investor relations.
Everton is a mining exploration company focused on discovery and development in the Dominican Republic.
